A evolução deste conceito para idéias ligadas a sustentabilidade evidencia que a responsabilidade social empresarial pode ser compreendida não apenas como uma ferramenta para responder a pressões contra o mundo corporativo, mas significa um questionamento dos paradigmas que regem a economia.
