Afin de rendre compte de la finesse de l’exercice de la pratique et de tenter de répondre à la question : comment fait-on du travail social hors murs, les professionnels de la plateforme romande du travail social hors murs ont construit collectivement ce référentiel de pratiques. Ce qui « fait référence » pour le travailleur social hors murs ne peut être mobilisé de manière statique, mécanique comme le prescrirait un guide de « bonnes pratiques ». Pour cette raison, au fil de cet ouvrage, le lecteur est invité à effectuer un aller-retour entre une typologie qui réduit volontairement la complexité des éléments de la pratique afin de mieux les identifier, et une série de récits rédigés par des professionnels romands du TSHM. Des récits de pratiques qui, chacun à leur manière, témoignent du savoir-faire engagé dans la diversité des situations rencontrées sur le terrain. EXTRAIT L’équipe le soutient alors tout de même à mener des recherches d’emploi avec l’optique qu’il se confronte à la difficulté de trouver un travail sans avoir de diplôme en poche. Petit à petit, il lâche aussi ce soutien. Le coaching de l’équipe de Transit cesse. A PROPOS DE LA PLATEFORME ROMANDE DU TRAVAIL SOCIAL HORS MURS La plateforme romande du travail social hors murs est un collectif de professionnels. Elle a rédigé en 2002 la charte du TSHM que cet ouvrage vient compléter. La plateforme se définit comme un pôle de réflexion en lien avec les problématiques rencontrées dans les pratiques professionnelles et comme un levier quant aux prises de position publiques à propos des fondamentaux du TSHM et des besoins de son public.
