Book excerpt: An 80 day devotional with 26 words that begin with each letter of the alphabet for the chapters. These words assisted my faith as I was redeemed, renewed and reformed by the Holy Spirit. Each word has the original Greek or Hebrew meaning and is important to me on my spiritual journey. I had to apply each word to my life and live it out intentionally. As I read scripture, it causes me to think deeply, giving me a deeper and better understanding of who God, Jesus The Christ and The Holy Spirit are. My greatest desire in my spiritual journey is to know more about God, while basking in His Presence, while walking in the Spirit. Therefore I study the original language to gain a better understanding. I have woven some of my life story to give you an understanding of the power of faith in my life, as I accept and yield my entire being to the Holy Spirit.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Renewal Theology deals with the full range of Christian truth from within the charismatic tradition. Previously published as three separate volumes, Renewal Theology represents the first exhaustive, balanced articulation of charismatic theology. Renewal Theology discusses: Book One--God, the World, and Redemption - Book Two--Salvation, the Holy Spirit, and Christian Living - Book Three--The Church, the Kingdom, and Last Things. As theology, this work is an intellectual achievement. But it is much more than that. The author urges the church to undertake its task of theology in the proper spirit: - an attitude of prayer - a deepening sense of reverence - an ever-increasing purity of heart - a spirit of growing love - a theological approach rooted in the glory of God. Done in such a spirit, theology becomes a faithful and powerful witness to the living God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sunrises and Sunsets: A Daily Journey of Renewal, Redemption, and Rejoicing illustrates a different understanding of hope that will give confidence to the reader that hope is possible to have again. Interspersed in the daily devotions are three stories of persons who discovered hope again when they were able to redefine what hope is really and then be able to reperceive the struggle they are facing that does not include seeing oneself as a victim or a persecutor, but as a child of God with a vision of renewal and redemption. "My friend and colleague, Dr. Bill Stephenson, offers us a unique book that takes the reader on an intriguing journey of reflection and response. His intention is to guide us into a deep and honest conversation with ourselves. Frequently he addresses his "soul," a voice within all of us, not easily heard, but often rewarding." - Rev. Richard Smith, retired United Methodist Minister and Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor. "To me, the elegant simplicity of having a prayer to begin my day and a subsequent prayer when the day reaches its predictable end is wonderful. How much better things would be if I were reminded, on a daily basis, to do just that: talk to God. And having a space to record my reflections takes the whole experience to another level." - Rick Morris, Award-Winning Educator and Author.

It describes the changes in this myth in its various stages and the external influences on it. The author shows that myth is in the essence of the Jewish religion and that, rather than being created out of external influences, Kabbalah is one of its manifestions. The book also deals with the related subject of Messianism, and delves into the special spiritual personalities of some messianic figures in Jewish history to show how myth was incarnate in them.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Accounts of the history of Zionism usually trace its origins to the late nineteenth century. In this groundbreaking book, Arie Morgenstern argues that its roots go back even further. Morgenstern argues compellingly that the Jewish community in Israel may be traced back to a large-scale wave of immigration during the first half of the nineteenth century. Inspired by an expectation for the coming of the Messiah in the year 1840, thousands of Jews from throughout the Ottoman Empire, North Africa, and Eastern Europe relocated to Jerusalem. Morgenstern describes the messianic awakening in all these lands but focuses primarily on the concept of redemption through messianic activism that prevailed among the disciples of Rabbi Elijah, the Ga'on of Vilna. These immigrants believed that the Messiah's arrival would bring about the redemption of the Jews, but also that, in order for this redemption to come about, they needed to prepare the way for the Messiah by fulfilling the commandment to dwell in the land of Israel. Morgenstern offers a dramatic account of their relocation, their efforts to renew rabbinic ordination, their reestablishment of the Ashkenazi community, and the building of Jerusalem. He also explores the crisis of faith that followed the Messiah's failure to appear as expected, and its effects on the community. Drawing on a wealth of previously untapped sources, Morgenstern sheds important new light on the history of messianic Judaism and on the ideological trends that preceded, and eventually gave birth to, modern political Zionism.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From Condemnation to Redemption was imagined one beautiful morning while sharing the Word on Periscope TV. The Holy Spirit quickened me to put some of the things I was sharing in writing. Right after the end of the Bible study on this day, my son called me and said, "Mom, I hope you are putting this in writing." The Holy Spirit immediately gave me the title of the book. Jesus Christ came to redeem us from condemnation to redemption. We were condemned when we fell short of God's glory due to sin. But "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). This book reveals the plan of God for humanity as said in Genesis 1:26. Man fell short of that plan due to sin. Jesus came to redeem man from sin and put us back into the right place with God""the place of dominion, authority, and righteousness.
