This book was released on 2007-06 with total page 139 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christianity has become a global phenomenon, but how could a religion signed into effect by Roman Emperor Constantine gain so many followers, especially since biblical scriptures instruct against the teaching of knowing God? For centuries, theologians have marveled over the scriptures within the Bible, yet none have been permitted to point out the biblical scriptures opposing the worshipping of Jesus. But this truth and other countless discoveries are just a brief insight to what Bradley has compiled for you. Bringing these discoveries to light provokes the need for Christianity to be examined more thoroughly, beyond its traditional teachings. Bradley soars high with this mind-boggling study, after spending more than four years researching the Bible. His own yearn for spiritual freedom helped him unlock the biblical confusion, exposing a great deal of hidden secrets that should make you question the validity of todays Christian church and its followers.
Book Synopsis The Doctrine of Reconciliation by : Arthur W. Pink
Download or read book The Doctrine of Reconciliation written by Arthur W. Pink and published by Sovereign Grace Publishers,. This book was released on 2006-05 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Arthur W. Pink (1890-1953) launched his yearly publication, Studies in the Scriptures in 1921. These continued until his death, altogether 33 volumes of 288 pp. each. Most of Pink's books are taken from these yearly books (written monthly in 24 page format). This title is one of the many taken from eight of those monthly magazines. Readers will find thorough consideration of all the facets of this Biblical Doctrine of Reconciliation. Pink covers: Its Arrangement; Its Need, Its Effectuation; Its Meaning; Its Scope; and Its Reception. There are Scriptures galore cited. Undoubtedly the reader will grow rich in knowledge and in the grace of Christ. The pages are full, with probably 400 words to a page, so buyers will get their moneys worth. As an example of what a master workman like Pink does, note that he cites Romans 12:1, 2: [This verse] ''supplies an interpretation of the rites of the Law and of the reasonable part of the O. T. order of things. Thus, he who would make a covenant with God is required to give up himself wholly unto God with a sincere and firm resolution unto a new life of obedience to Him. If there is any reservation the covenant is marred in the making of it: ''Their heart was not right with Him, neither were they steadfast in His covenant'' (Ps. 78:37). Goodwin's Reconciliation by the Blood of Christ is a sermon he preached on Colossians 1:20, in which He describes the seeming impossibility of reconciling totally depraved men to a holy God. Who is sufficient for such a task? He proves that only Christ Jesus had the fitness to fill this role of perfect obedience to the Law, together with an acceptable sacrifice to propitiate the wrath of God toward men.
Book Synopsis Where God and I Meet by : Martin Pröbstle
Download or read book Where God and I Meet written by Martin Pröbstle and published by Review and Herald Pub Assoc. This book was released on with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A scarlet thread runs throughout the Bible. It is the concept of redemptive blood. Jesus’ beautiful and terrible death on the cross is central to the story of that scarlet thread, but there is more to the story. To understand the scarlet thread fully, we must look at the sanctuary: the holy ground that offers a glimpse of God’s character and His plan of redemption. Mysterious and often misunderstood, the sanctuary is at the very heart of biblical theology. Where God and I Meet will help you achieve greater understanding of the heavenly sanctuary, the Israelite sanctuary, the pre-Advent judgment, and Christ’s sacrifice and high-priestly ministry. You’ll come to grasp how the sanctuary interconnects with salvation, prophecy, and mission. But most important, you will see how the precious scarlet thread weaves a message of hope and redemption throughout every page of the Bible.

Book Synopsis Rethinking Hell by : Christopher M. Date
Download or read book Rethinking Hell written by Christopher M. Date and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2014-04-15 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches? Do Christians need to rethink their understanding of hell? In the late twentieth century, a growing number of evangelical theologians, biblical scholars, and philosophers began to reject the traditional doctrine of eternal conscious torment in hell in favor of a minority theological perspective called conditional immortality. This view contends that the unsaved are resurrected to face divine judgment, just as Christians have always believed, but due to the fact that immortality is only given to those who are in Christ, the unsaved do not exist forever in hell. Instead, they face the punishment of the "second death"--an end to their conscious existence. This volume brings together excerpts from a variety of well-respected evangelical thinkers, including John Stott, John Wenham, and E. Earl Ellis, as they articulate the biblical, theological, and philosophical arguments for conditionalism. These readings will give thoughtful Christians strong evidence that there are indeed compelling reasons for rethinking hell.

Download or read book Mixed Blessings written by Tolly Bradford and published by UBC Press. This book was released on 2016-04-01 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mixed Blessings transforms our understanding of the relationship between Indigenous people and Christianity in what is now Canada. While acknowledging the harm of colonialism, including the trauma inflicted by church-run residential schools, this book challenges the portrayal of Indigenous people as passive victims of malevolent missionaries who experienced a uniformly dark history. Instead, it illuminates the diverse and multifaceted ways that Indigenous communities and individuals across Canada have interacted, and continue to interact, meaningfully with Christianity from the early 1600s to the present. Ranging widely across time and place, these insightful case studies explore how and why some Indigenous people – including Louis Riel and Edward Ahenakew – historically aligned themselves with Christianity while others did not. It also plumbs the processes and politics involved in combining spiritual traditions and reflects on the role of Christianity in Indigenous communities today.

Book Synopsis The Evangelical Universalist by : Gregory MacDonald
Download or read book The Evangelical Universalist written by Gregory MacDonald and published by SPCK. This book was released on 2012-11-15 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can an orthodox Christian, committed to the historic faith of the Church and the authority of the Bible, be a universalist? Is it possible to believe that salvation is found only by grace, through faith in Christ, and yet to maintain that in the end all people will be saved? Can one believe passionately in mission if one does not think that anyone will be lost forever? Could universalism be consistent with the teachings of the Bible? In The Evangelical Universalist the author argues that the answer is ‘yes!’ to all of these questions. Weaving together philosophical, theological, and biblical considerations, he seeks to show that being a committed universalist is consistent with the central teachings of the biblical texts and of historic Christian theology.
