Il précise ensuite les modifications à apporter au circuit équivalent initial, pour des transformateurs à faible rendement et/ou faible couplage, ainsi que les méthodes de caractérisation expérimentale applicables à de tels composants. Les éléments du circuit équivalent du composant faisant l'objet de cette étude sont ensuite " évalués expérimentalement. La simulation, à l'aide du logiciel PSPICE, du comportement d'un circuit électronique intégrant ce composant est confrontée à l'expérience. Le gain en précision résultant de l'emploi d'un modèle adéquat pour chaque composant bobiné est ainsi mis en évidence. La suite de l'étude porte sur le calcul des éléments du circuit équivalent du transformateur à partir des données technologiques. Dans un premier temps, l'accent est mis sur les capacités parasites. En menant en parallèle une étude analytique et une modélisation électrostatique grâce au logiciel FLUX2D, l'incidence du mode de bobinage sur la valeur des capacités est analysée en détail. Des règles pratiques de bobinage, visant à diminuer ces capacités parasites, sont justifiées et appliquées à des prototypes industriels, avec succès. Le calcul des grandeurs magnétiques et des pertes à l'aide du logiciel FLUX2D, nécessite l'introduction d'une perméabilité complexe. Nous discutons alors de certaines limites de validité des méthodes classiques de caractérisation des matériaux magnétiques. Enfin, une méthode expérimentale originale, destinée à mesurer, à chaque fréquence, la résistivité et la perméabilité complexe d'un matériau magnétique conducteur linéaire est proposée et validée. Cette méthode est ensuite étendue au cas des matériaux composites (ferrites).

Contrairement aux méthodes normalisées, cette méthode, basée sur la mesure de deux impédances électriques complémentaires, permet d'accéder, à toute fréquence, aux données perméabilité et permittivité complexes. En ce qui concerne les formulations par éléments finis, les formulations générales en 3D ont été réécrites avec des propriétés physiques complexes, à l'aide de deux types de potentiel: le potentiel électrique et magnétique. Les hypothèses bidimensionnelles cartésienne et axisymétrique sont aussi utilisées. Le couplage avec les équations du circuit électrique d'alimentation est réalisé par la méthode des potentiels électriques intégrés dans le temps. Cette méthode généralement utilisée en 3D est adaptée pour les problèmes 2D. Les problèmes des capacités parasites liés aux effets des interactions électriques en haute fréquence sont aussi présentés. Pour la modélisation à des fréquences élevées, l'influence du champ magnétique sur le fonctionnement du composant n'est plus négligeable. Un modèle magnétique devient nécessaire afm de tenir compte de l'inductance d'un composant. Plusieurs études récentes sur les effets des interactions magnétiques électriques en haute fréquence sont montrées. Chaque méthode a comme particularité la nécessité des approximations, dans la plupart des cas géométriques, par rapport au problème qui est essentiellement tridimensionnel. Une modélisation par la méthode des éléments fmis utilisant la formulation axisymétrique couplée avec les équations de circuit électrique est proposée et bien adaptée pour une caractérisation électromagnétique des composants bobinés.

Il s'inscrit dans la continuité d'une longue étude, commencée en 1988 et menée en collaboration avec plusieurs industriels. Il généralise les travaux antérieurs et mène à la représentation des transformateurs multi-enroulements. Les méthodes générales de représentation et d'identification expérimentale des transformateurs multienroulements sont établies. Pour y parvenir, des repères généraux concernant le nombre d'impédances mesurables, le nombre de pôles et de zéros de ces impédances sont dégagés. Des notions nouvelles, telles que le transformateur de fuite et la modélisation progressive, sont introduites. Un modèle analytique est développé pour rendre compte des effets des courants induits (peau et proximité) dans les conducteurs. La représentation de ces effets par des constantes localisées, impossible à priori puisqu'ils mènent à des impédances proportionnelles à la racine carrée de la fréquence, est résolue. Tout ceci est validé expérimentalement et, en marge de ce travail, un banc destiné à caractériser le rayonnement magnétique des composants magnétiques est étudié et testé avec succès. L'intérêt du travail précédent est illustré par l'étude d'une alimentation à découpage industrielle. Il s'avère que les imperfections du transformateur à trois enroulements exploité par cette alimentation, bien représentées par le circuit équivalent, influent très fortement sur le dimensionnement des autres composants ainsi que sur les perturbations de mode commun du montage. Il est ainsi démontré qu'un modèle précis de transformateur est un élément clé pour concevoir des alimentations à découpage fiables et conformes aux normes de compatibilité électromagnétique en vigueur.
