D’où l’importance de cet ouvrage pour permettre l’accès à des études sur les pratiques actualisées, au-delà des pratiques prescrites. Cet ouvrage comble donc le besoin de documenter des expériences correspondant à cette forme de travail somme toute nouvelle. Des contributions provenant de divers lieux (Belgique, France, Québec, Suisse), dans des contextes différents (écoles préscolaires-primaires, secondaires en situation de réformes ; expérience de suivi pluriannuel d’élèves), à propos de catégories d’acteurs (enseignants, enseignants-chercheurs à l’université). Des études faisant appel à diverses méthodologies (études de cas, entretiens, observations, analyse de documents, questionnaire), plusieurs faisant appel à plus d’un outil méthodologique ; la majorité privilégiant les études qualitatives. L’ensemble des contributions permet de mettre en évidence un certain nombre de résultats convergents en rapport avec la thématique, quant à l’accompagnement nécessaire, des conditions à mettre en place, des obstacles (souvent structurels), des exigences. Des résultats dont on pourra s’inspirer à la fois pour initier de nouvelles recherches mais aussi pour aller plus loin dans la mise en œuvre de pratiques collaboratives.
