He gives a progress report on the measurement of the W mass. New results from the 1988-1989 data on W-[gamma] production are also presented. The status of the search for the top quark in the dilepton modes is described. In addition a status report of the ongoing search in the lepton + jets mode is given.

PSB 2008 will bring together top researchers from the US, the Asian Pacific nations, and around the world to exchange research results and address open issues in all aspects of computational biology. It is a forum for the presentation of work in databases, algorithms, interfaces, visualization, modeling, and other computational methods, as applied to biological problems, with emphasis on applications in data-rich areas of molecular biology. The PSB has been designed to be responsive to the need for critical mass in sub-disciplines within biocomputing. For that reason, it is the only meeting whose sessions are defined dynamically each year in response to specific proposals. PSB sessions are organized by leaders of research in biocomputing's "hot topics." Book excerpt: This paper highlights results from electroweak measurements recently obtained by the CDF and D0 collaborations in 1.8 TeV p[ovr p] collisions. The W decay width was extracted from the measurement of W/Z cross section times leptonic branching ratios, and in a direct measurement from a fit of the high-mass tail of the transverse mass spectrum of the W system. Various limits on anomalous gauge boson couplings were obtained in studies of W/Z+[gamma] processes, single leptonic WW, WZ production and double leptonic WW production. Values for[sigma]B(W[gamma][r-arrow]l[nu][gamma]), [sigma]B(Z[gamma][r-arrow]l[sup+]l[sup -][gamma]), and[sigma](p[ovr p][r-arrow]WW+ X) were measured. CDF also reports on the observation of an asymmetry in photon rapidity distributions as predicted by the Standard Model. 17 refs., 2 figs., 1 tab.
