Con los dispositivos de hoy en día, acciones como caminar y desplazarse físicamente por el entorno de realidad virtual son posibles sin necesidad de gran equipo ni un laboratorio especializado. Paralelo a estos avances, el uso de realidad virtual está cada vez más extendido y se emplea de forma colaborativa: múltiples usuarios usando el mismo entorno virtual de forma simultánea interactuando entre ellos. Uniendo estos dos factores, se ha observado que los usuarios no tienen el mismo comportamiento en la realidad virtual que el que tendrían en el mundo real. Estudios ya realizados muestran que el nivel de detallismo de la representación virtual del usuario (avatar) afecta a su comportamiento en la realidad virtual. Partiendo de esos estudios, este proyecto pretende demostrar la hipótesis de que usar avatares con un nivel de realismo muy elevado tiene un impacto positivo en el comportamiento humano en entornos virtuales, provocando que dicho comportamiento se asemeje más al que se tiene fuera de la realidad virtual. Para conseguir el mayor nivel de realismo posible, este proyecto aplica cinemática inversa al avatar del usuario para poder imitar a la perfección sus movimientos. Para probar la hipótesis formulada, este proyecto diseña un experimento a realizar usando avatares con distintos niveles de realismo. Realizando este experimento se estudia el comportamiento humano en realidad virtual colaborativa, centrándose en cómo se desplazan los humanos por el entorno virtual evitando colisionar entre ellos.

A second meta-cognitive tool, called vee diagrams, is also critically examined by two authors, particularly its value in improving mathematical problem solving. Thematically, the book flows from a historical development overview of concept mapping in the sciences to applications of concept mapping in mathematics by teachers and pre-service teachers as a means of analyzing mathematics topics, planning for instruction and designing assessment tasks including applications by school and university students as learning and review tools.
