Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quantum Orchestra is the gripping story shared by Tony-an ordinary man burdened with an extraordinary task. Doc can't find the right hole in his belt to poke his buckle through, yet his work in quantum physics discovers a connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. Los Alamos Labs knows that gifted individuals sometimes suffer with psychological issues and Doc is no exception. He condemns the Lab: "We are removing the thread from the substrate of matter and undoing the divine fabric of existence," and they are aware of his betrayal. He has a plan and recruits Tony to help stop our plunge into darkness. His abilities impress Tony, but it's hard to separate genius from lunatic. Life intrudes, opens new "doors" and reveals a path for Tony. Quantum Orchestra is a mesmerizing tightrope walk through the dichotomy of reality, swinging side to side from physical to spiritual, humorous to haunting, sophisticated to simple, apocalyptic to hopeful, ... and ends once you say, "Aha." IMPORTANT NOTES FROM A READER The Science: There is plenty of it but THIS IS NOT A SCIENCE BOOK. The science (physics and metaphysics) does not "need" to be corroborated because this is speculative fiction (spirituality, science fiction, adventure, paranormal, political, humor, etc.). BUT, I believe the science is legitimate with a touch of conspiracy theory. The science was cleverly injected. I also don't believe you need to understand it for this book to grab you. The Paranormal: Tony tries to remember his past to write this book and he leaves a type of door open to the "other side" to let his memories return from the ether and ghost like entities-referred to as the homeless-slip in and haunt Tony. Spirits don't follow man's rules of nature (past, present, future). And they don't in this book and that is why their presence throughout is a mystery until the end. Some Advice: Pay attention to the sketches, the final words between Kay and Tony, anything in bold, and you'll find the reward. Read the Look Inside tab to get a feel for the book. Also, the paperback has a very sharp glossy cover and looks great on my bookshelf. I also liked the spacing and the font used in the paperback (I read the Kindle, paperback and all reviews). My Honest Opinion: There are just so many books with nice covers and descriptions that it's hard to find the good ones. This is a GREAT book and I believe it deserves recognition. It has depth with "at least" a dual plot (the main plus paranormal). The plots are craftily tied together at the end. There are no loose ends. It pulls you in and causes reflection. It's AMUSING, (wild adventures-including psychedelic drugs, drinking, a gold hunting fiasco, an Indian burial ground, and more); MOVING, (funny, spooky, sad); MEANINGFUL, (captivating, wise, nostalgic, inspiring). It favors open-minded "thinkers" that know that man hasn't solved all of life's mysteries. It does not favor those with a narrow world view, in fact, it may offend them.

Book excerpt: Winner of the Nebula Award, this science fiction adventure “features sound characterization, straightforward plotting, abundant world building detail, and almost as much humor” (Booklist). As the young ruler of a destitute province burdened by obsolete technology, Kamoj Argali must marry to save her people from starvation. She has managed to make peace with her betrothal to the arrogant leader of a wealthy neighboring province. Then Havyrl Lionstar, a mysterious visitor to their land, steps in to claim Kamoj as his wife, sowing chaos in their lives. In this science fictional retelling of a classic folk tale, Havryl appears as a beast to Kamoj’s people. But what is the truth behind his strange, erratic behavior? In dealing with the upheavals he brings to their world, Kamoj discovers that the universe is much larger than she ever understood. This new edition contains a revised, expanded version of the essay that appeared in the original book, in which Catherine Asaro explains how she found inspiration for The Quantum Rose while earning her doctorate at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where she studied the quantum theory of scattering processes. “A freestanding page-turner as a romance, with a hard science fiction framework.” —Publishers Weekly “Bolsters [Asaro’s] reputation for skillfully putting classic romance elements in an sf setting.” —Booklist “Fans of futuristic romance will revel in the delights of a top notch romantic adventure set against an impeccably crafted, richly imagined background.” —Romantic Times “Sturdy and absorbing.” —Kirkus Reviews “Asaro plants herself firmly into that grand SF tradition of future history franchises favored by luminaries like Heinlen, Asimov, Herbert, Anderson, Dickson, Niven, Cherryh, and BaxterBaxter.” —Paul Di Filippo, Locus

As Samuel begins his investigation, he crosses paths with Dr. Eleanor Riggs, a brilliant quantum physicist. Together, they unravel the enigmatic science behind consciousness transfer, stumble upon a clandestine project named "Prometheus," and uncover a world where digital immortality intersects with the darkest corners of the human psyche. Along their journey, they encounter Alan, a former Neurolink employee driven by radical ideas about the exploitation of consciousness transfer. They also encounter Iris, an enigmatic figure with ties to the underground world of the digital consciousness black market. Book excerpt: The Quantum Bomb of 2015 changed everything. The fabric that kept the universe's different dimensions apart was torn and now, six years later, the people of earth exist in uneasy company with the inhabitants of, amongst others, the elven, elemental and demonic realms. Magic is real and can be even more dangerous than technology. Elves are exotic, erotic, dangerous and really bored with the constant Lord of the Rings references. Elementals are a law unto themselves and demons are best left well to themselves. Special agent Lila Black used to be pretty but now she's not so sure. Her body is now more than half restless carbon and metal alloy machinery. A machine she's barely in control of. It goes into combat mode, enough weapons for a small army springing from within itself, at the merest provocation. As for her heart . . . well ever since being drawn into a Game by the elven rockstar she's been assigned to protect, she's not even sure she can trust that anymore either.
