Il devint ensuite dans la même institution conseiller spécial au cabinet du sous-directeur général, département du Développement, poste qu'il occupa jusqu'à ces dernières années. Issu d'une famille d'apiculteurs amateurs, ildevint lui-même éleveur d'abeilles dans ses moments de loisir. Son expérience en apiculture et sa spécialisation en arboriculture fruitière lui permirent d'approfondir ses connaissances sur le rôle important et parfois capital de pollinisateur que joue l'abeille domestique non seulement dans les cultures fruitières, mais aussi dans de nombreuses cultures de plantes oléagineuses, potagères et fourragères dans toutes les régions agricoles du monde. L'enseignement pratique que donne ce livre aux agriculteurs et aux apiculteurs est donc le fruit de la longue expérience de l'auteur. Il est aussi basé sur les résultats de travaux réalisés surtout au cours des quarante dernières années par les spécialistes de la pollinisation de chacune des plantes traitées dans cet ouvrage. On sait à présent que, pour assurer un rendement élevé des cultures pollinisées par les insectes, ces derniers et tout particulièrement les abeilles domestiques doivent être présents en très grand nombre dans les champs en floraison. Ce livre décrit en détail les processus de pollinisation et de fécondation opérés avec l'intervention des abeilles sur les fleurs de plus de quarante plantes cultivées importantes et il recommande pour chaque culture, un nombre optimum de colonies en ruche à placer par hectare lorsque la plante cultivée est en floraison.

Only knowing the past and developing culture, mainly that directed to peace, to a better relationship among nations and responsible use and preservation of natural resources, human beings will have a long future on Earth. These volumes, Tropical Biology and Natural Resources was divided in sessions to provide the reader the better comprehension possible of issue and also to enable future complementation and improvements in the encyclopedia. Like we work with life, we intended to transform this encyclopedia also in a “life” volume, in what new information could be added in any time.
