Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have been married for 44 years. My husband, Jim and I have 2 Children, 5 granddaughters and a great grandchild on the way. I don’t sing, dance or play an instrument, but I wanted to do something to praise God; so I ask for a gift to give back to him. He gave me poetry. This book is a collection of the poems that God gave me. I have shared them with others and they are always blessed and so am I. But I always remember to say “God gave them to me because I asked and could not write them on my own”. My book is dedicated to Dorothy Prohl who is my mentor and a dear friend. Thanks go to my husband, children, church family friends and coworkers for their encouragement. And most of all thanks to God for giving me every word in my book.

Book excerpt: Sacred poetry from twelve mystics and saints, rendered brilliantly by Daniel Ladinsky, beloved interpreter of verses by the fourteenth-century Persian poet Hafiz One of 6 Books Oprah Loves to Give as Gifts During the Holidays “All kinds of beautiful poetry.” –Hoda Kotb In this luminous collection, Daniel Ladinsky—best known for his bestselling interpretations of the great Sufi poet Hafiz—brings together the timeless work of twelve of the world’s finest spiritual writers, six from the East and six from the West. Once again, Ladinsky reveals his talent for creating profound and playful renditions of classic poems for a modern audience. Rumi’s joyous, ecstatic love poems; St. Francis’s loving observations of nature through the eyes of Catholicism; Kabir’s wild, freeing humor that synthesizes Hindu, Muslim, and Christian beliefs; St. Teresa’s sensual verse; and the mystical, healing words of Sufi poet Hafiz—these along with inspiring works by Rabia, Meister Eckhart, St. Thomas Aquinas, Mira, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and Tukaram are all “love poems by God” from writers considered “conduits of the divine.” Together, they form a spiritual treasure to cherish always.

Book excerpt: Three weeks before he turns 18, Pat Harold Carter meets a Southern belle named Evelyn at Louisiana College, and he's immediately smitten. Under normal circumstances, he'd proceed with a typical courtship, but it is 1944, and so he signs up to join the Navy. It's better than being drafted as an infantryman, he thinks. But two years later and in ill health, Pat is still in the Navy. Evelyn, now a junior, is impressed with the cool, young veterans who are enrolling in college. Against all odds, however, Pat and Evelyn put faith first and decide to adventure with God. They marry, and their life becomes a poem full of truth, passion and goodness. Whether they are in New Orleans, San Francisco, Texas or in the northern desert of Mexico, the couple never fails to learn the lessons of prayer and faith as they confront the evils of the world. Take a journey with Pat and Evelyn and interpret their life as a poem of God, written in rhyme with the life of Caleb, the Old Testament warrior. They never stop believing in God Gave Me a Rhyme.

Book excerpt: A FINALIST FOR THE PEN/WEST TRANSLATION AWARD The 100th Anniversary Edition of a global classic, containing beautiful translations along with the original German text. While visiting Russia in his twenties, Rainer Maria Rilke, one of the twentieth century's greatest poets, was moved by a spirituality he encountered there. Inspired, Rilke returned to Germany and put down on paper what he felt were spontaneously received prayers. Rilke's Book of Hours is the invigorating vision of spiritual practice for the secular world, and a work that seems remarkably prescient today, one hundred years after it was written. Rilke's Book of Hours shares with the reader a new kind of intimacy with God, or the divine—a reciprocal relationship between the divine and the ordinary in which God needs us as much as we need God. Rilke influenced generations of writers with his Letters to a Young Poet, and now Rilke's Book of Hours tells us that our role in the world is to love it and thereby love God into being. These fresh translations rendered by Joanna Macy, a mystic and spiritual teacher, and Anita Barrows, a skilled poet, capture Rilke's spirit as no one has done before.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At each attempt to make a life changing transition, the authors family secrets would scream to come out. Her need to protect those nearest her would keep her life normal, but tormented on the inside. Her poignant portrayal of a God, who is able to bring their secrets to the healing sunlight of His grace, while loving both the victim as well as the perpetrator, is a saga no one who has been touched by sexual abuse can afford to miss. I will recommend this most helpful volume to many of my clients. A counselor in private practice for over twenty years. When I arrived at the prison, I had to pass through numerous locked gates on my way to the hospital. How strange and intimidating it felt to hear yet another door lock behind me as we went into the depths of the prison. I couldnt help but feel a twinge of fear as the guards took us past scummy looking men hanging out in the hallways. Finally, we came to my fathers room and I could see him through the open door. He was lying in his bed gazing at the ceiling and his face was shining! He hadnt noticed that I had come, so I stood enraptured, wondering at the change in my Daddys countenance. While I was at the prison, I had a chance to talk alone with the prison doctor, and was encouraged by his comments as well. Your dads story needs to be told, he said to me. He is truly a changed man. Other people need to know that God can change anybody, even child molesters. There are many people inside these locked doors, and outside in the world, who have lost hope that God would do anything for them. Your fathers changed life is a testimony of Gods faithfulness to any sinner who chooses to repent.

This will be the third and final book of His published poems. I do realize that I am just the loyal and loving servant that He chose to be one of His penman’s. The previous other two books, “From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours” and “More, From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours” have been well received and I have heard nothing but good and blessed comments about them, as I am sure with this one I will also. Besides being blessed to publish God’s poems, I am also blessed to present musical PowerPoint presentations to shut-ins. How awesome it is to be able to reach out with God’s Love and touch another soul in need. This part of the His journey for me will continue until He says, “Rest”. To understand fully His impact on my life I encourage all to visit my website, www.glowny.org, “God’s Love Outreach Western New York.
