Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Hermitage and Other Poems That stirs but with her heart-beats. Far, unheard May wrangle on the noisy human host, While I will face my Life, that Silent ghost, And force it speak what it would have with me. Not of the fair young Earth, The snow-crowned, sunny-belted globe Not Of its skies, nor Twilight's purple robe, Nor pearly dawn not Of the flowers' birth, And Autumn's forest-funerals not of storms, And quiet seas, and clouds' incessant forms Not Of the sanctuary of the night, With its solemnities, nor any Sight And pleasant sound of all the friendly day But I am tired of what we call our lives Tired of the endless humming in the hives, Sick of the bitter 'honey that we eat, And sick of cursing all the shallow cheat. Let me arise, and away To the land that guards the dying day, Whose burning tear, the evening-star, Drops silently to the wave afar The land where summers never cease Their sunny psalm Of light and peace. Whose moonlight, poured for years untold, Has drifted down in dust of gold Whose morning splendors, fallen in showers, Leave ceaseless sunrise in the flowers. There I will choose some eyrie in the hills, Where I may build, like a lonely bird; And catch the whispered music heard Out Of the noise of human ills. So, I am here at last A purer world, whose feet the old, salt Past Washes against, and leaves it fresh and free As a new island risen from the sea. Three dreamy weeks we lay on Ocean's breast, Rocked asleep, by gentle winds caressed. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. To breathe the vital streams which herbage yields, While the warm beam illumes the waving fields; To hear the chorus of the warbling glade, And trace the notes by each sweet rival made; To mark the varied beauties of the trees, And meet the treasures of the fragrant breeze; Nature's sublimer presence to survey. Download or read book Glaring Hermitage written by J. Kashyap and published by . This book was released on 2013-08-22 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A bright and dazzling abode of holy souls, where their paths of glory lead towards a beautiful goal, no bondages are there, they order their soul, give up their wants, live in charity, associate in benevolent objects; and trust in providence.Sometime I think, if I personify my poems it may be observed that each poem tries its best to speak an eternal truth. In this context, I may remember here the famous lines of "John Greenleaf Whittier"-"The outward wayward life we see,The hidden springs we may not know-It is not ours to separateThe tangled skein of will and fate" Human life is a wonderful creation of Lord where people may avail themselves of their golden opportunity to do some noble deeds. They should be glad to have a life because it gives them the chance to love, to work, to play , to enjoy the natural beauty to take bath in sunshine and to look up to the stars and moon, to despise nothing in the world except falsehood and meanness and to fear nothing except cowardice. When I characterize my poems, I imagine they are as it were the pilgrims of the universe and their endless journey is for the search of truth that is mighty and will prevail. The characters in my poems on the way towards their journey discover the truth and realize that truth is their only safeguard to stand upon. The joy of truth fills their mind and body with full of delight and contentment. The best things in life must come by effort from within and not by gifts from outside. Pain and recovery are both from within. In this perspective, I remember the speech of "Louis L' Amour-""Up to a point a man's life is shaped by environment, heredity and movements and changes in the world about him; then there comes a time when it lies within his grasp to shape the clay of his life in to the sort of thing he wishes to be----Everyone has it within his power to say, this I am today, that I shall be tomorrow".My poems are as if an exhibition show of the procession of changes of human character. In fact "To err is human but forgive is divine". The people once did wrong might with flow of time change themselves. Like pilgrims those who starts for eternity, become able to build their "Glaring Hermitage" where they utter their spell "Let our love like sunlight surround all and give them freedom illumine". This is an intensity of eternity, from nothing to everything although through a horrible journey in life, still the inhabitants of "Glaring Hermitage" overcome all hurdles and achieve their goal. And by perception, they perceive the truth and evoke the spirit of good inner life which takes reflection, contemplation and self-discipline.
