We found it necessary to pay ten, fifteen, and even as high as twenz'yzfiz'e dollars for works from which to obtain the author's defini tion of a single word, which will be found in this work. Many of these authors define in Latin which could not be read by the common English scholar if he had them; here he will find only the English translation of the author's Latin, which all can read and easily understand.
