The procedures were coronary angiography, coronary artery bypass graft surgery, cholecystectomy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, and carotid endarterectomy. The ratings demonstrate that it is possible to obtain ratings of hundreds of indications for each procedure - a much finer level of detail than previous consensus processes (for example, the NIH consensus panels) have ever attempted.
