Hierzu werden zuerst die der Neurolinguistischen Programmierung zugrunde liegenden Grundannahmen (Axiome) sowie die Hauptanliegen von NLP erarbeitet. Anschließend werden konkrete Techniken und Methoden zur Verbesserung der Kommunikation in Theorie und Praxis beschrieben. Diese Arbeit beginnt mit den theoretischen NLP-Grundlagen. Diese bestehen zum einen aus den Grundannahmen (Axiome), auf denen alle NLP-Techniken basieren und zum anderen aus den Hauptanliegen, welche mit den NLP-Techniken verfolgt werden. Anschließend werden einige wichtige Begriffe zur Wahrnehmung des Menschen beschrieben. Im folgenden Kapitel werden dann konkrete NLP-Techniken beschrieben, welche zu einer wertschätzenden und zielorientierten Kommunikation verhelfen sollen. Die beschriebenen Techniken werden dann an einem Praxisbeispiel veranschaulicht. Abschließend erfolgt eine kritische Reflexion, welche die Grenzen dieser Arbeit und von NLP im Allgemeinen beschreibt, bevor diese Arbeit mit einer Zusammenfassung endet. Wir leben in einer schnelllebigen Welt der Selbstoptimierung. Qualifikationen sind oftmals nicht (mehr) der Schlüssel zu einem erfolgreichen Leben, sondern Schlüsselqualifikationen, durch welche obsoletes Wissen erkannt, eingeordnet und neues Wissen generiert werden kann. So sieht auch der Deutsche Verband für Neuro-Linguistisches Programmieren e.V. die Notwendigkeit der Weiterentwicklung der eigenen Persönlichkeit durch effektive Kommunikation mit anderen, gelungenes Selbstmanagement, aber auch Gesundheit, Kreativität und Zufriedenheit und weist darauf hin, dass sich das Neurolinguistische Programmieren – kurz NLP – als Methode in all diesen Bereichen bewährt habe. Ursprünglich entwickelt wurde NLP durch den Mathematiker Richard Bandler und der Linguistiker John Grinder Anfang der 1970er Jahre. NLP enthält Erkenntnisse und Inhalte aus den Bereichen der Verhaltens- und Kognitionswissenschaften, Sprachwissenschaften, Systemtheorie, Psychologie und Psychotherapie sowie der Neurobiologie und beschäftigt sich mit dem subjektiven Erleben und dessen Veränderbarkeit. Einsatz findet NLP u.a. in der Wirtschaft, in der Therapie und Beratung sowie in der Pädagogik.

Damit dies für beide Seiten zum Erfolg führt, muss das angebotene Produkt bzw. die Dienstleitung wettbewerbsfähig sein und sich gegen konkurrierende Produkte durchsetzen können. Diese Techniken sind erlernbar und können entweder sofort oder zumindest relativ schnell angewendet werden. Speziell kann ein Verkäufer durch NLP kurzfristig lernen die optimale psychische Verbindung zum Kunden aufzubauen und entsprechende Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, wenn die Chemie zwischen beiden nicht stimmt. Dabei geht es auch darum, den Gefühls- und Denktypus des Kunden zu erkennen und mit ihm in der für ihn angenehmen Sprache zu kommunizieren. Auch werden Techniken vermittelt, die es dem Verkäufer ermöglichen, die echten Bedürfnisse des Kunden zu ermitteln, auch wenn dieser sich selber nicht im Klaren darüber ist. Hier werden kleinste Abweichung in Aussagen und Körpersprache analysiert und hinterfragt. ... Unser individuelles, sprachliches Bild der Welt entsteht durch den Ablauf von drei universellen Gestaltungsprozessen, Generalisierung, Tilgung und Verzerrung. Bei der interpersonalen Kommunikation ist das gesprochene Wort nun eine verkürzte Darstellung dessen, was der Sprecher erlebt hat. Durch die o. g. Prozesse erfolgt eine Verarbeitung des Erlebten welche dann im gesprochenen Wort ihren Ausdruck findet. Da der Zuhörer nun aber über einen anderen Erlebnishintergrund verfügt, als der Sprecher, kommt es bei der Rückübersetzung der verkürzten Darstellung zu einer wieder vollständigen Darstellung des Erlebten, der Derivation, in der Regel zu interpretatorischen Missverständnissen. When the prophets are silenced, the people easily lose their way. What happened after the incarnation, death and resurrection of Christ? Did God fall silent? The dominant position in Christian theology is that prophecy did indeed cease at some point in the past -if not with the Old Testament prophets, then with John the Baptist, with Jesus, with the last apostle, or with the closure of the canon of the New Testament. Nevertheless, throughout the history of Christianity there have always been acclaimed saints and mystics -most of them women-who displayed prophetic traits. In recent years, the charismatic revival in both Protestant and Catholic circles has once again raised the question of the place and function of prophecy in Christianity. Scholarly theological attitudes toward Christian prophecy range from modest recognition to contempt. Mainstream systematic theology, both Protestant and Catholic, has mostly marginalized or ignored the gift of prophecy. In this book, however, Niels Christian Hvidt argues that prophecy has persisted in Christianity as an inherent and continuous feature in the life of the church. Prophecy never died, he argues, but rather proved its dynamism by mutating to meet new historical conditions. He presents a comprehensive history of prophecy from ancient Israel to the present and closely examines the development of the theological discourse that surrounds it. Throughout, though, there is always an awareness of the critical discernment required when evaluating the charism of prophecy. The debate about prophecy, Hvidt shows, leads to some profound insights about the very nature of Christianity and the church. For example, some have argued that Christianity is a perfect state and that all that is required for salvation is acceptance of its doctrines.
