He became technical director at Nanomach AG in Switzerland. Since 1994 Professor Leuchs has been holding the chair for optics at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Since 2003 he has been Director of the Max Planck Research Group for Optics, Information and Photonics at Erlangen.
