Book excerpt: Perception of the Navigator is a collection of poetry, that's entertaining! A fascinating read! This book's about living, bearing witness to time, and seizing one's destiny! Lobaito sets to establish an identity all his own, with such poems as, "Whatever's the Cost for Love I Accept" a romantic villanelle, which he proclaims, "I'll climb a thousand mountains, of a thousand skulls, / Just to reach your fair feet, and kiss your sweet lips!" expressing emotion at its consent. In, "A Painted Emotion" he writes, "Ambition / Has lost her mind / To a drug called knowledge / For the fruits of wisdom / In a dream beyond cypress and sonic ash, / Booming through a field of wild heathers" in a jazz-like state of consciousness. With the poem, "Hope is a Weapon" Lobaito becomes more punctual, with lines, "Hope is a weapon that is used to create destruction, / That is, if you believe in the miracle of life / And justification of death" using pessimism's fatalistic views. And in, "Guiding Principles" he writes, "Thou shall not be oneself in public, / If it requires justice to be correct! ... Be kind to bugs: ants, roaches, / Headlice etc! / You never know if reincarnation's real!" A true poem of satirical wit! Each poem chisels itself onto the page, as if lightning was a mechanical pen to use! Lobaito personifies passion with pizzazz, and grace with conviction! If you never bought a volume of poetry, this is the book to start!

This book was released on 2014-03-26 with total page 459 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wondered what it was like to fly the Phantom? This is not a potted history of an aeroplane, nor is it Hollywood glamour as captured in Top Gun. This is the story of life on the frontline during the Cold War told in the words of a navigator who flew the iconic jet. Unique pictures, many captured from the cockpit, show the Phantom in its true environment and show why for many years the Phantom was the envy of NATO. It also tells the inside story of some of the problems which plagued the Phantom in its early days, how the aircraft developed, or was neglected, and reveals events which shaped the aircraft's history and contributed to its demise. Anecdotes capture the deep affection felt by the crews who were fortunate enough to cross paths with the Phantom during their flying careers. The nicknames the aircraft earned were not complimentary and included the 'Rhino', 'The Spook', 'Double Ugly', the 'Flying Brick' and the 'Lead Sled'. Whichever way you looked at it, you could love or hate the Phantom, but you could never ignore it for its sheer power and lethal payload. The Phantom in Focus: A Navigator's Eye on Britain's Cold War Warrior is unique in that the author flew in the legendary Phantom in the front line and captured beautiful and amazing unpublished photographs that will appeal to historians, military specialists and modellers alike.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In volume one of Julia Turk's Navigator's Dream series, Riverlog, we met the Navigator-a psychiatrist seeking enlightenment in a dark world. Through a mysterious series of events, the Navigator fell into the world of tarot cards. Once there, our hero went head to head with seven strange birds, twelve bizarre characters, and a camel-all different aspects of the mystical deck of cards-who helped on the way to adventure and enlightenment. In volume two, the Navigator is back in the world of cards; only this time, it's time to meet royalty. The Navigator comes to know the Court Cards of the mystic deck: the Queens, Kings, Pages, and Knights. The Navigator travels from one castle to the next, but in order to get through this strange world safely, several difficult riddles must be solved that could spell life or death in the pages of fate. The Court Cards are not easy to handle. They have separate, strong personalities that make them difficult to outsmart-and difficult to put up with. But the Navigator must make it through this new adventure to move on to the final voyage into the magical deck of tarot cards. Although a work of fiction, extensive knowledge of Hermetic Cabala and tarot is woven within, to teach readers and entertain in this court intrigue of danger and death.

"As I swiped left to continue the adventure and saw the words, 'the second book is expected in 2019,' I gasped. It was as if Captain Hook himself had put his sword to my heart. It reminded me of when I was reading the Harry Potter books as they were being written. I will be waiting on pins and needles for the next installment." – Mary, Goodreads "I need the second book, RIGHT NOW." - Angela, Goodreads "I can’t wait for the next installment of this marvellous re-imagined version of Peter Pan." – Readers’ Favorite NOT EVERY ADVENTURE GOES AS PLANNED ... Wendy’s troubles are far from over. Hook wants her in irons, the crew wants to throw her overboard, and Pan’s magical compass is the only thing standing in their way. But Pan himself is nowhere to be found. When a new everlost captain appears on the horizon, it will take everything Wendy has to survive. And a tiny red dragon will set events in motion that could save or doom them all. "The writing is witty and clever and very reminiscent of some of the classic novels I have read in the past. There were so many parts where I was just outright grinning as I read." – Errin Krystal, author of The Last Dragon Rider "Sky and Brown bring fresh magic and wonder to a well-known story, and provide readers with a skilled and cunning heroine, outsmarting her male counterparts at every turn, always staying one step ahead." – C.L. Ogilvie, author of Skipping Out on Henry Fans of Brigid Kemmerer's A Curse So Dark and Lonely, Gena Showalter's The Evil Queen, and Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone will love the rip-rollicking adventure, fantasy, and historical elements of the Tales of the Wendy series by Steven Brown and Erin Michelle Sky, Dragon Authors. As Caius Fabius says in Goodreads, "Pick it up and begin a great adventure! I DARE YOU!!!"

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thoroughly rewritten for today's web environment, this bestselling book offers a fresh look at a fundamental topic of web site development: navigation design. Amid all the changes to the Web in the past decade, and all the hype about Web 2.0 and various "rich" interactive technologies, the basic problems of creating a good web navigation system remain. Designing Web Navigation demonstrates that good navigation is not about technology-it's about the ways people find information, and how you guide them. Ideal for beginning to intermediate web designers, managers, other non-designers, and web development pros looking for another perspective, Designing Web Navigation offers basic design principles, development techniques and practical advice, with real-world examples and essential concepts seamlessly folded in. How does your web site serve your business objectives? How does it meet a user's needs? You'll learn that navigation design touches most other aspects of web site development. This book: Provides the foundations of web navigation and offers a framework for navigation design Paints a broad picture of web navigation and basic human information behavior Demonstrates how navigation reflects brand and affects site credibility Helps you understand the problem you're trying to solve before you set out to design Thoroughly reviews the mechanisms and different types of navigation Explores "information scent" and "information shape" Explains "persuasive" architecture and other design concepts Covers special contexts, such as navigation design for web applications Includes an entire chapter on tagging While Designing Web Navigation focuses on creating navigation systems for large, information-rich sites serving a business purpose, the principles and techniques in the book also apply to small sites. Well researched and cited, this book serves as an excellent reference on the topic, as well as a superb teaching guide. Each chapter ends with suggested reading and a set of questions that offer exercises for experiencing the concepts in action.
