Book excerpt: Amassing wisdom from as early as the 5th century B.C.E. to the modern day has produced an intensely profound, yet simple and straight to the point collection of quotes from the greatest minds all over the world: from speakers, philosophers, authors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and more. It is like having an entire library of wisdom contained within a single book. Below are just a few of the great minds included in this collection: Aristotle, Theodore Roosevelt, Confucius, Albert Einstein, Oscar Wilde, Kahlil Gibran, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Maya Angelou, Leo Tolstoy, H. Jackson Brown, Jr., Benjamin Franklin, James Earl Jones, Horace, Winston Churchill, Voltaire, Benjamin Disraeli, Henry David Thoreau, Marcus Aurelius, Helen Keller, and Seneca. A Selection Of Three Quotes From The Book: “Never believe anything that requires you to hate people who do not believe it.” -Robert Brault “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” Louis B. Smedes “A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.” -Danish Proverb This collection presents an opportunity to seek and meditate upon the advice from the greatest counselors who ever lived, to receive teaching from the most venerated philosophers, and a passage for listening to those who have long since passed away. Drawing from an extremely careful and meticulous search of quotes, more focused yet more profound than any source ever made, this compilation is designed to permanently improve the reader’s mindset in every aspect of their life, creating an active and living asset for positive change in the world.

Book excerpt: Are you fed up and are not going to take it anymore? Alright, read this book. Strong positive convictions have fallen out of favor, being replaced by expedient pop morality pieces that warp reality. Bluntly worded unpopular opinions critical of minorities, affirmative action, Israel, immigration, bi-lingualism and the current chief executive in Washington D.C. find their way into the trash bin. Immigration is the overwhelming emphasis of this collection of essays, musings, letters-to-the-editor, lists, book reviews, commentary, and authorized opinions. WARNING: Freedoms Denied is best read sober and while not operating motor vehicles or power tools. You are strongly advised to start at the beginning of the book. Do not read this book before going to bed.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The objective of the Holy Bible, the Sacred Scriptures, 27th edition, volume III, is to revoke all falsifications in today's Bibles known so far (the New Testament), and to restore the original state of the verses as far as possible. In the present work, you will find from "The Letter to the Hebrews" to "The General Letter of Judah", also "The Book of Daniel" and "The Book of Revelation", in which the verses are written in German and English, as well as an appendix with various elaborations and statements, etc. (see the table of contents). There is both a German and an English edition in which the attachments are available in the respective selected language. This is a English version. Other important parts of this work are focused on "The Doctrine of the Trinity", "The holy Name of our God", "The Name of His Son and the Significancy", "The Falsification of the Resurrection Day", "The Ttatements of Dr. Martin Luther and the Reformers", "The official Statements of the Clergy in Rome", "The full validity of God's Law" as well as detailed explanations by the English reformers, falsifications in the Holy Bible, false doctrines, etc. The author was born in 1963 in North Rhine-Westphalia and completed a traineeship for wholesale and foreign trade in a pharmaceutical wholesale company. In the course of his professional development, he used to be a freelancer but was also officially employed; he has experienced a lot rises and falls throughout his life. While studying the Scriptures, he was led by the Spirit of the only God, the Almighty and the only Holy Father in heaven, whereas, by grace, he could recognize many things that are now presented as heresies to the world. In recent years he has been active in the proclamation of the Word of God in Europe, particularly in Brazil (South America), and has enlightened many people by his message, so that they get to know the true God, His holy name and His will and only obey Him – and start to think about all this, i. e. "so that they finally decide themselves in favour of the living God, instead of against Him, and their names are not erased from the divine 'Book of Life' forever."

Book excerpt: F. Scott Brown knew things were not perfect when he took over the European division of Morgan AM&T. He didn't let that deter him. Their downward spiral needed to be fixed and he knew he was the man for the job. After successfully steering the company back in the black, he stepped down as CEO and president at the end of 2000. Eight months later, an FBI agent showed up at his house in Central Florida with a subpoena. His life has not been the same since. Brown faced corruption and personal betrayal, and a shockingly wide-ranged cover-up that ultimately would lead to incarceration. Many false accusations with heart-wrenching moments of frustration continued for more than three years. Finally, despite his innocence, he entered an "excruciating guilty plea." Brown's fight for justice was not over. He would discover how God's revelations would bring him proof of his innocence. Now he uses his experience to help others.

Book excerpt: What can the Bible teach us about unconditional, everlasting, life-changing love? Join #1 New York Times bestselling author Dr. Les Parrott as he shows us that we all deserve Love Like That. In this authentic, practical book, Dr. Parrott provides a simple plan to improve all of your relationships--with spouses, family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers. Dr. Parrott takes proven findings from psychology and sociology and blends them with biblical teaching to reveal five transformative ways of relating to people demonstrated by Jesus himself. In Love Like That, Dr. Parrott gives you the tools you need to love like Jesus, because when you do: you become less detached and more mindful you become less exclusive and more approachable you become less judgmental and more grace-full you become less fearful and more bold you become less self-absorbed and more self-giving Dr. Parrott teaches us that loving like Jesus can be a daily reality for anyone who chooses it. Why? Because this love isn't elusive. It isn't pie-in-the-sky. It isn't out of reach or relegated to untouchable saints. It's real. Jesus gives us practical examples of how to love in extraordinary ways. And you're likely closer to it than you know. Praise for Love Like That: "From the first vulnerable sentence, this heart-felt message from Dr. Parrott will compel you to not only be a better person, it will show you exactly how you can do just that." --Dave Ramsey, #1 bestselling author and radio host "Refreshingly honest and incredibly practical. This book is for everyone who wants to love like Jesus but never thought they could. I've personally benefited from this helpful book, and you will too." --Lysa TerKeurst, president of Proverbs 31 Ministries and bestselling author of Forgiving What You Can’t Forget "With an incredible blend of contemporary social science and a deep understanding of Scripture, Les Parrott's writing will help you see beyond what you may be tempted to settle for. And he'll show you the way, step-by-step, to realizing the kinds of relationships we all long for." --Lee Strobel, New York Times bestselling author of The Case for Christ

The reader is invited to wander through the ancient agora where Socrates engaged in dialectical dialogues, to witness the Renaissance revival of classical thought, and to ponder the existential questions explored by 20th-century existentialists. Each chapter unearths the intricacies of a philosopher's life—their birthplaces, educational pursuits, intellectual influences, and the socio-political contexts that shaped their philosophical perspectives. The book celebrates the diversity of philosophical thought, showcasing not only the well-known figures who have become pillars of philosophical tradition but also those whose contributions may have been overlooked. It seeks to break down the barriers between different philosophical traditions, emphasizing the interconnectedness of ideas across cultures and periods. In addition to the biographical narratives, this book delves into the philosophical teachings of each thinker. It examines their key works, pivotal concepts, and the enduring impact of their ideas on subsequent generations. From metaphysics to ethics, epistemology to political philosophy, the reader is guided through the intellectual landscapes that these philosophers navigated, unveiling the intricate tapestry of human understanding they wove.
