Walp.) é uma leguminosa muito importante para a alimentação humana devido ao seu elevado teor de proteína, especialmente para as populações de baixo poder aquisitivo. O trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar dez genótipos de feijão-caupi de ciclo precoce, para identificação de cultivares com maior potencial produtivo. O experimento foi realizado na Estação Experimental de Bebedouro, da Embrapa Semi-Árido, localizada no município de Petrolina, PE. Foram testados os genótipos IT 86D-386, IT 86D-394, Epace 1, IT 86D-1010, CB 3, BR 12-Canindé, UCR 2-1, UCR A-31, Manaus e BR 17- Gurguéia, em delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições, irrigados por gotejamento. Foram avaliados o número e peso de vagens, peso de grãos por planta e a produtividade de grãos por hectare. Os genótipos BR 17?Gurguéia, com 2132 kg.ha-1, e IT 86D?1010, com 2096 kg.ha-1, apresentaram as melhores produtividades.
