Book excerpt: Overcoming the Spirit of Offense exposes how the spirit of offense has not only infiltrated the body of Christ but how it has damaged the bride and has kept her from fulfilling her destiny and purpose. Because of the invisible wounds that she has suffered, she walks without much power. The book helps the reader to be able to see and recognize how the spirit operates, and it teaches how to come in the opposite spirit called love in order to get free. It is fully equipped with scripture for validation and real-life situations and testimonies that help the reader with their own similar situations. There are testimonies that not only inspire the reader but also challenge them. A testimony of a young woman named Julia will leave the reader in awe of the Fathers heart and what He can do when we choose to love instead of being offended. This teaching has been used to minister to hurting pastors and prophets, drug addicts and broken women, and when they choose to forgive the offender, they are almost always completely healed, both physically and emotionally. It has been used to teach the unbeliever about the love of God, the price that Jesus paid, and how the enemy pottered them through offense. This is a teaching that bears fruit.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “This book walks each of us through the reality checks we need in order to have the marriage we want!” —Shaunti Feldhahn, social researcher and best-selling author of For Women Only In today’s workplace, women are often rewarded for having type A personalities: driven, demanding, ambitious, and strong. Yet when it comes to their marriages, those same traits can backfire. After all, no one goes into marriage hoping for a promotion. What is a wife to do? April Cassidy knows this struggle firsthand. She thought she was a great Christian wife and begged God to make her passive husband into a more loving, involved, godly leader. Instead, God opened her eyes to changes that she needed to make, such as laying down her desire for control and offering genuine, unconditional respect—not just love—to her husband. Cassidy’s conclusions may be as startling to readers as they were to her, but The Peaceful Wife shares how she and many others have learned to reorient their lives to biblical commands—resulting in healthier, happier marriages. In the end, you’ll find The Peaceful Wife a powerful path to God’s design for women to live in full submission to Christ as Lord.

Book excerpt: Former cohost of The 700 Club Kristi Watts reveals the pitfalls that keep Christians from true joy and demonstrates the transformational power of speaking the words and promises of God. How does a person bounce back after being beaten down personally, professionally, and emotionally? What impact do words, thoughts, and beliefs have in determining one’s level of happiness? Kristi Watts asked herself these questions after her marriage dissolved and she left a high-profile position as a cohost of The 700 Club. Initially excited to walk into a new season of life that she thought held the key to happiness, she soon stumbled into emotional pitfalls that left her discouraged, disappointed, and distant from God. Known as the upbeat host who was always filled with joy and laughter, she was anything but—yet she was determined to get her happy back! But how? By learning, as Kristi did, that true happiness is not simply acquired but rather cultivated. When one’s words focus on faulty perspectives, faith is quickly derailed, but by remembering God’s blessings and verbally claiming His promises, hearts change. Using biblical principles, Talk Yourself Happy illustrates the importance of relying on God to tame our tongues and train our minds, and it exposes the hidden traps that keep Christians from living lives of happiness, empowering readers with the ultimate transformation of their hearts.

Book excerpt: Unoffendable, now revised and updated with two new chapters, gives you a concrete, practical way to live life with less stress. In our easily offended, cancel-culture society, learn how to replace perpetual frustration and anger with refreshing humility and gratitude. It turns out giving up your "right" to be offended can be one of the most freeing, healthy, simplifying, relaxing, refreshing, stress-relieving, encouraging things you can do. It's a radical, provocative idea: We're not entitled to get offended or stay angry. The idea of our own "righteous anger" is a myth. It is the number one problem in our societies today and, as Dallas Willard says, Christians have not been taught out of it. But what if Christians were the most unoffendable people on the planet? In Unoffendable you will find concrete, practical ways to live life with less stress, including: Adjusting your expectations to fit human nature Replacing perpetual anger with refreshing humility and gratitude Embracing forgiveness and beginning to love others in unexpected ways Newly revised with two brand-new chapters on forgiveness and what Hansen has learned since writing his original book, this updated edition of the bestselling book is a must-read for every Christian. In a humorous and conversational style, Unoffendable seeks to lift religious burdens from our backs and allow us to experience the joy of gratitude, perhaps for the first time, every single day of our lives—flourishing the way God intended.

Book excerpt: * We are God's Women* Eliminating the Fear and Power of Offense* Manage Each Offense Presentation o How well do you perceive?o Offense is a teacher & revealer* Offense (From church leaders)o Be not deceivedo Change may be in ordero Seek God and hear His Voice for yourselfo Knowing when to move* Shake the Dust off Your Feet (For real; not a cliché)* Processing* Processing Through & Overcoming the Spirit of Offense o How will I know if I need deliverance from a spirit of offense? * Prayer against the spirit of offenseo Over Sensitivity and Emotionalism is the Gift of Discernment Perverted and Untapped * Conclusion Offenses will happen. While we are living and breathing on God's green earth there are going to be offenses. It's a part of life. However, do not fear. Offenses are necessary for growth. Just like food is necessary to live. To live and grow successfully, we must eat right, exercise, and get proper rest, etc. So that we may adequately stretch to our fullest potential. It's the same for offense. It's inevitable. Offense comes to grow and develop us so that we may adequately stretch to our fullest potential and into a higher purpose for Kingdom Advancement. So, don't run from offense. Understand why it came, learn from it and overcome it.  We can't depend on people, their support, or lack thereof to make us happy. No one was placed on this earth to make you happy. Your happiness is your choice. You have the power. Life and death are in the power of your own tongue (Prov. 18:21, AMP). Whatever you say, that is what it will be. If you say your life is nothing and insignificant, that's what it will be. If you say your life is blessed and valuable, that's what it will be. Sacrifice to get the job done. To go where we have never been and have what we have never had, we must be willing to sacrifice to get the job done. That's why God predestined and selected you. Because He knew that you would break forth and would not give up because of the power He put on the inside of you.  Spirit of offense. One of the major things that has caused many of God's people to fall away from Him and to abort their purpose is the spirit of offense. Offense is one of the major attacks Satan uses to destroy families, churches, businesses, covenant relationships, and nations. The spirit of offense must be conquered for us to be all that God is calling us to be.  How well do you perceive? Perception isn't always precise (accurate, definite, strict, clear, or careful). If we're not watchful, perception may lead to deception. Most people perceive, and discern through their emotions, their biases, their backgrounds, etc. There is nothing spiritual about.  How we perceive is vital. How we see may not be what we see. Therefore, how we move forward from that point can be detrimental to everyone involved. If we are unstable emotionally and have not been seeking God while building up our spirit man, it can cause insensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We could very well miss it and perceive wrongly.  Offense comes for a purpose. We have to learn how to properly manage each offense presentation when it comes to us. We must ask the right questions so that we can arrive at the right answer.  You don't give up on earning a living...It's interesting when we get offended on our jobs by a leader (one of our superiors, a co-worker, or a client) we stay on that job. We may seek another position in a different department. However, we generally don't leave the Job. Some may allow the experience to prompt them to take some classes to increase their value in the marketplace, or move on and start a business.  Mobility to move is vital. Move when it's time to move is vital. You have to hear God's voice and move when He says MOVE. Why is it so vital? It's vital because you are carrying something that can only be nu

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bitterness often grows out of a small offense: perhaps a passing word, an accidental slight, or a pair of dirty socks left in the middle of the living room floor. Yet when bitterness takes root in our hearts, its effects are anything but small. "See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." (Heb. 12:15) In this collection of short articles, Jim Wilson and others discuss what it means to live as "imitators of God." As the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians, we have been called to leave the bitterness and anger of the world and instead embrace the love and compassion of our God. The authors remind us that we are to forgive others just as we have been forgiven, pointing to Scriptural admonitions and examples as they offer sound teaching on the trials and temptations of everyday life.
