During his 13 month tour of duty, he endured constant combat, was wounded in action, and saw buddies killed. Upon his return, he was treated poorly, could not talk to anyone about his experiences, and suffered terrible Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It wasn't until 20 years later that he was able to come full circle and receive the welcome home he had longed to receive when he marched in a parade in Washington, DC on the 4th of July. Read the intense combat scenes this man endured and learn what finally enabled him to rid himself of the many years of PTSD that haunted him.

Bob served as a tactical air control man, commonly referred to as the "One Four Man" taken from his radio call sign. It was his job to control anything that flew in support of his Marine unit. Upon his return home from combat duty, Bob began having recurring nightmares that lasted for 20 years. He found that the world had changed and it wasn't good to be a Vietnam veteran. He was rejected and scorned for his service, but in 1988 he marched in a parade in Washington, DC with other Vietnam veterans. It was the 4th of July, and Bob finally got the welcome home parade he so desperately needed.
