This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 283 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I - Entire functions of several complex variables constitute an important and original chapter in complex analysis. The study is often motivated by certain applications to specific problems in other areas of mathematics: partial differential equations via the Fourier-Laplace transformation and convolution operators, analytic number theory and problems of transcen dence, or approximation theory, just to name a few. What is important for these applications is to find solutions which satisfy certain growth conditions. The specific problem defines inherently a growth scale, and one seeks a solution of the problem which satisfies certain growth conditions on this scale, and sometimes solutions of minimal asymp totic growth or optimal solutions in some sense. For one complex variable the study of solutions with growth conditions forms the core of the classical theory of entire functions and, historically, the relationship between the number of zeros of an entire function f(z) of one complex variable and the growth of If I (or equivalently log If I) was the first example of a systematic study of growth conditions in a general setting. Problems with growth conditions on the solutions demand much more precise information than existence theorems. The correspondence between two scales of growth can be interpreted often as a correspondence between families of bounded sets in certain Frechet spaces. However, for applications it is of utmost importance to develop precise and explicit representations of the solutions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We consider the basic problems, notions and facts in the theory of entire functions of several variables, i. e. functions J(z) holomorphic in the entire n space 1 the zero set of an entire function is not discrete and therefore one has no analogue of a tool such as the canonical Weierstrass product, which is fundamental in the case n = 1. Second, for n> 1 there exist several different natural ways of exhausting the space
Book Synopsis Lectures on Entire Functions by : B. Ya Levin
Download or read book Lectures on Entire Functions written by B. Ya Levin and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1996-07-23 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As a brilliant university lecturer, B. Ya. Levin attracted a large audience of working mathematicians and of students from various levels and backgrounds. For approximately 40 years, his Kharkov University seminar was a school for mathematicians working in analysis and a center for active research. This monograph aims to expose the main facts of the theory of entire functions and to give their applications in real and functional analysis. The general theory starts with the fundamental results on the growth of entire functions of finite order, their factorization according to the Hadamard theorem, properties of indicator and theorems of Phragmen-Lindelof type.
Book Synopsis Complex Analysis on Infinite Dimensional Spaces by : Sean Dineen

This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 553 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Infinite dimensional holomorphy is the study of holomorphic or analytic func tions over complex topological vector spaces. The terms in this description are easily stated and explained and allow the subject to project itself ini tially, and innocently, as a compact theory with well defined boundaries. However, a comprehensive study would include delving into, and interacting with, not only the obvious topics of topology, several complex variables theory and functional analysis but also, differential geometry, Jordan algebras, Lie groups, operator theory, logic, differential equations and fixed point theory. This diversity leads to a dynamic synthesis of ideas and to an appreciation of a remarkable feature of mathematics - its unity. Unity requires synthesis while synthesis leads to unity. It is necessary to stand back every so often, to take an overall look at one's subject and ask "How has it developed over the last ten, twenty, fifty years? Where is it going? What am I doing?" I was asking these questions during the spring of 1993 as I prepared a short course to be given at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro during the following July. The abundance of suit able material made the selection of topics difficult. For some time I hesitated between two very different aspects of infinite dimensional holomorphy, the geometric-algebraic theory associated with bounded symmetric domains and Jordan triple systems and the topological theory which forms the subject of the present book.
Book Synopsis Functions of Completely Regular Growth by : L.I. Ronkin
Download or read book Functions of Completely Regular Growth written by L.I. Ronkin and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 404 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph deals with functions of completely regular growth (FCRG), i.e., functions that have, in some sense, good asymptotic behaviour out of an exceptional set. The theory of entire functions of completely regular growth of on variable, developed in the late 1930s, soon found applications in both mathematics and physics. Later, the theory was extended to functions in the half-plane, subharmonic functions in space, and entire functions of several variables. This volume describes this theory and presents recent developments based on the concept of weak convergence. This enables a unified approach and provides a comparatively simple presentation of the classical Levin-Pfluger theory. Emphasis is put on those classes of functions which are particularly important for applications -- functions having a bounded spectrum and finite exponential sums. For research mathematicians and physicists whose work involves complex analysis and its applications. The book will also be useful to those working in some areas of radiophysics and optics.
Book Synopsis Foundations of Complex Analysis in Non Locally Convex Spaces by : A. Bayoumi
Download or read book Foundations of Complex Analysis in Non Locally Convex Spaces written by A. Bayoumi and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2003-11-11 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All the existing books in Infinite Dimensional Complex Analysis focus on the problems of locally convex spaces. However, the theory without convexity condition is covered for the first time in this book. This shows that we are really working with a new, important and interesting field.Theory of functions and nonlinear analysis problems are widespread in the mathematical modeling of real world systems in a very broad range of applications. During the past three decades many new results from the author have helped to solve multiextreme problems arising from important situations, non-convex and non linear cases, in function theory.Foundations of Complex Analysis in Non Locally Convex Spaces is a comprehensive book that covers the fundamental theorems in Complex and Functional Analysis and presents much new material. The book includes generalized new forms of: Hahn-Banach Theorem, Multilinear maps, theory of polynomials, Fixed Point Theorems, p-extreme points and applications in Operations Research, Krein-Milman Theorem, Quasi-differential Calculus, Lagrange Mean-Value Theorems, Taylor series, Quasi-holomorphic and Quasi-analytic maps, Quasi-Analytic continuations, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, Bolzano's Theorem, Mean-Value Theorem for Definite Integral, Bounding and weakly-bounding (limited) sets, Holomorphic Completions, and Levi problem. Each chapter contains illustrative examples to help the student and researcher to enhance his knowledge of theory of functions. The new concept of Quasi-differentiability introduced by the author represents the backbone of the theory of Holomorphy for non-locally convex spaces. In fact it is different but much stronger than the Frechet one.The book is intended not only for Post-Graduate (M.Sc.& Ph.D.) students and researchers in Complex and Functional Analysis, but for all Scientists in various disciplines whom need nonlinear or non-convex analysis and holomorphy methods without convexity conditions to model and solve problems.bull; The book contains new generalized versions of:i) Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, Lagrange Mean-Value Theorem in real and complex cases, Hahn-Banach Theorems, Bolzano Theorem, Krein-Milman Theorem, Mean value Theorem for Definite Integral, and many others.ii) Fixed Point Theorems of Bruower, Schauder and Kakutani's. bull; The book contains some applications in Operations research and non convex analysis as a consequence of the new concept p-Extreme points given by the author.bull; The book contains a complete theory for Taylor Series representations of the different types of holomorphic maps in F-spaces without convexity conditions. bull; The book contains a general new concept of differentiability stronger than the Frechet one. This implies a new Differentiable Calculus called Quasi-differential (or Bayoumi differential) Calculus. It is due to the author's discovery in 1995.bull; The book contains the theory of polynomials and Banach Stienhaus theorem in non convex spaces.
