D'une part, l'égalisation dynamique de gain (DGE) est nécessaire pour améliorer la transmission de canaux WDM. D'autre part, l'égalisateur dynamique de canaux (DCE) et le bloqueur de longueur d'onde (WB) s'imposent comme des sous-systèmes clés dans les noeuds de routage métropolitain. L'objectif de cette thèse est l'étude d'une architecture espace libre générique favorisant l'implantation de ces fonctions afin de pouvoir les dimensionner en fonction des spécifications systèmes à respecter. Cette architecture dispose de nombreux paramètres physiques tant au niveau du système d'imagerie, comme la taille du faisceau et la dispersion linéaire au niveau du plan image, qu'au niveau du modulateur, caractérisé principalement par la taille du pixel et de la zone interpixel. Pour le DGE, les spécifications considérées sont le ripple introduit et la pente égalisable alors que pour le DCE et le WB, le taux d'extinction, l'espacement entre canaux et la diaphotie sont des grandeurs plus pertinentes. Parallèlement, nous nous sommes intéressés à leur implantations en étudiant plus particulièrement deux solutions. Une nouvelle famille de filtres a été étudiée et évaluée expérimentalement. Leur principe, utilisant le découplage de mode, est détaillé ainsi que le tolérancement de différents paramètres critiques. Bien que ce principe n'est pas dépendant d'une seule technologie, celui-ci a été confirmé en utilisant différentes cellules PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal). Finalement, une architecture interféromètrique de bloqueur a été également testée. Celle-ci reposait sur un interféromètre de Michelson, avec un DGE modifié inclus sur un des bras. Enfin, nous discutons de quelle fac ̧on ces fonctions peuvent s'intégrer dans un bloc du type ROADM ou WSS.
