However, as I began to search God's word and reflect back over my life, I got the revelation that I am not a survivor but an overcomer. This book shares some of my journey into how, through God's grace and love, I was able to overcome some of life's difficulties through the word of God. Also, for you who are reading this book to know that you don't have to just survive the trials and tests of this life but you can overcome too through Christ. I know if I did, anyone can. As, you read this book, know that through God's love, grace, and power you can overcome as well.

Book excerpt: Are you ready to live fully prepared and fully equipped to handle anything life throws at you? As Christians, we can be courageous and confident, knowing that God has placed us in human history for His purposes, and He will empower us regardless of our circumstances. Drawing on the book of Revelation and historical examples, The Overcomers will put steel in the spines of believers and remind them of the fierce, conquering, commanding authority of God over all the earth. You were made for this exact moment in human history. Things may look gloomy, and you may feel discouraged, but because of the promise and hope found in Scripture, you can be brave, confident, and victorious today! In The Overcomers, Matt Chandler reminds readers that they don't have to be anxious or afraid of anything in the present or in the future because both have already been won. We are not victims but overcomers—and we are a key part of what God is working out in our day. God is at work in the mess, just as He has always been, and He continues to accomplish His purpose of seeking and saving the lost. In this book, believers will: Find courage and confidence from fellow believers who have gone before us. Feel empowered as God reminds them of His promises fulfilled and yet to come. Understand the strategies, tactics, and deceptions Satan uses to try to keep us paralyzed with anxiety and fear. Learn to live a victorious Christian life marked by the power and presence of God. The apostle John wrote his letter to a certain group of people in a particular place at a specific time. Although it was written to them, it was also written for us. The Overcomers takes a chapter-by-chapter view of Revelation rather than a line-by-line deep dive, helping readers practically understand what God wants to say to us today through this extraordinary book written thousands of years ago. Believers will be reminded that they are uniquely wired and uniquely placed in this moment in history as part of God's big plan to push back darkness and to establish light. Christ has overcome, and in Him we, too, are the overcomers!

Book excerpt: "A Message to the Overcomer" is a collection of messages originally written for a weekly e-mail ministry. The intent of each message is to encourage Christians to experience a deeper life in Christ. Each message offers a practical approach to overcoming life's issues. The book has six categories and they include principles to live by, Christian living, old and new, salvation and exhortation. The first category is the introduction and it gives the reader a scriptural reference for the overcoming message. The purpose of the book is to share with the body of Christ the practical application of God's word. As they apply the word in their lives they will begin experiencing the overcoming life. My desire is to see God's people grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray God will open up the eyes of your understanding as you enter into the world of the overcomer. Rosita Dozier's life changed August 7, 1981 when she gave her life to Christ. That event set her life on a path of studying and learning all that she could about God and his son the Lord Jesus Christ. The first six years were set aside for intensive spiritual training, which included learning how to pray, how to study the scripture, outreach, teaching and full time ministry. The overall focus of the training was to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil. Thus living the overcoming life is more than a concept to Rosita, it is a way of life. Teaching women is her top priority, and she has conducted bible studies for over twenty years. She's written articles for church newsletters, helped pastors put oral messages into print and edited several books. She writes often and looks forward to writing many more books to the glory of God.

Are hurtful and painful memories from the past haunting you and affecting your life today even though you have buried them deep inside? The author of The Journey of a Lifetime has been there and knows what it feels like to live through these experiences. Now the Lord has called her forward to share how he saved her and showed her how to heal. She states, "Today I am no longer just a victim or even a survivor. I am an overcomer because of God's mercy and grace. The Lord has shown me a better way to live. He has restored and even given me back double of that which was taken from me. This road I have traveled is not an easy road to take, but the Lord has never left me or forsaken me. He promised to always be with me, and I choose to believe His promise by faith." God has turned the pain of her past into a living testimony she can share with others to give them hope. Some people just bury their pain and live defeated and miserable lives. And some use drugs, alcohol, and other various things to numb themselves so they don't have to feel it. God has a better plan for our lives. The answer is to acknowledge the pain and go through it to the other side and be free of it. He will walk with you too if you call out to him and ask him to heal you and be willing to follow where he leads. This book will help you make that decision, for it offers you wisdom gained by the author from walking with the Lord for over fifty years. You can have a life free from the past and a future full of hope, joy, and love. God is ready, willing, and able to light the way for you. He can change your life forever!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an account of the author’s personal experiences in developing a relationship with the Lord. For several years, he made Bible reading and prayer a priority and found the freedom and peace that he needed in his life. How to be an Overcomer is his story of what the Lord has done in his life and what he can do for anyone who is seeking to find power over evil habits and the temptations that are so prevalent in this world. You will find his story embedded in the Biblical account of an ancient king, Jehoshaphat, who was delivered from the neighboring kings that confronted him many years ago. In the Biblical record of 2 Chronicles, Jehoshaphat was threatened with destruction from three armies that attacked his kingdom and were intent on destroying him. What he used to overcome them are the strategies that are spelled out in this newly released book by Lee Buddy. Some of the topics include waiting on the Lord, giving your fears to God, seeking him, prayer, fasting, praising him, attending his house of worship, listening to him and witnessing for him. These topics are interspersed with stories from his personal experiences and keep the reader captivated by the way the Lord not only delivered king Jehoshaphat but the author from the spiritual obstacles that the evil one constantly puts in the path of everyone, Christian and non Christian. This readable, interesting, practical account is one that will hold the reader’s attention and challenge him to reflect on his life and determine if there are life decisions that he is willing to permit God to make to transform him.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The enemy or Satan lies to everyone, especially nonbelievers of Jesus Christ. From firsthand experience, stop listening to the enemy! The enemy lied and deceived me my entire life. I don’t want this to happen to you. These lies just don’t come from him; he uses people in your life, such as people in school, coaches, and even family members, to deceive and lie to you. Don’tfall for it. The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). I got sick and tired of being angry all the time. I knew I needed to change because if I didn’t, my life wouldn’t be worth living anymore. I needed peace and joy in my life. I was tired of hurting the loved ones around me because of my attitude. After giving my life to Christ in 2008, He helped me and, still to this day, helps me heal day by day. It’s all about forgiving yourself and allowing Jesus to work inside of you. Our Jesus helps me to heal through scripture and dreams. I went to plenty of therapists, and they never helped me. Don’t let your pride prevent you from letting Jesus heal you. Don’t think you’re too tough for Jesus. Jesus never tapped out or gave up on us, so why should you give up on yourself? Grow closer to Jesus, and He will grow closer to you. Jesus’s door is always open; have the guts to cross the threshold! He is waiting for you and wants a relationship with you. You have nothing to lose. Give your burdens over to Jesus, and quit having the enemy lie to you as he lied to me.

Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

God gives us confidence and faith through His word that we can overcome anything by our faith in Him. This book was titled "From Survivor to OVERCOMER" because the author was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and was labeled a survivor by the worlds standard. Reschelle is trying to get you to shift mentally from just surviving to actually overcoming. She believes survival involves intense pain, frustration as well as constant struggle.
