Manuelian believes that the present situation in the world -- Nationalism vis a vis Globalism; the resurgence of neo-Fascism and Imperialism; the rise of Islamic Fundamentalism; the prevalent economic woes all over the world; ethnic conflicts and regional wars -- are all reminders of a precarious world that is teetering and tottering dangerously and that the coming years until the turn of the century could be the most critical in the overall life of the planet.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nostradamus (Michel de Nostradame) was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. Nostradamus came from a long line of Jewish doctors and scholars. He is considered by many as one of the most famous and important writers of history prophecies. He is famous mainly for his book 'The Prophecies, ' consisting of quarantine in rhyme. Supporters of the trustworthiness of these prophecies attribute to Nostradamus the ability to predict an incredible number of events in world history, including the French Revolution, the Atomic bomb, the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the attacks of 11 September 2001. However, no one has ever proved that Nostradamus's quarters can provide reliable data for the foreseeable future. Nostradamus had the visions which he later recorded in verse while staring into water or flame late at night, sometimes aided by herbal stimulants, while sitting on a brass tripod. The resulting quatrains (four line verses) are oblique and elliptical, and use puns, anagrams and allegorical imagery. Most of the quatrains are open to multiple interpretations, and some make no sense whatsoever. Some of them are chilling, literal descriptions of events, giving specific or near-specific names, geographic locations, astrological configurations, and sometimes actual dates. It is this quality of both vagueness and specificity which allows each new generation to reinterpret Nostradamus.

Book excerpt: "I have known John Hogue for fifteen years. If his predictions weren't so uncannily accurate, they'd be uncannily terrifying. Better give his book a careful read. Real careful." -WHITLEY STRIEBER, AUTHOR OF "COMMUNION" Never has Nostradamus "come into the clear" like this, naming names, accurately dating events and places outright about a war in the Persian Gulf between America and Israel against Iran. Ships will be "melted and sunk by the Trident"! Is he speaking of US trident nuclear missiles, or, the mysterious trident symbol hidden in the Iranian flag? This war is dated to happen after an interlude of peace negotiations in 2014 lead to the worst region-wide conflict the Middle East has ever seen. Armageddon, perhaps? That depends on accessing Nostradamus' alternative future hidden in prophecies written over 450 years ago. Peace is possible, dated for the last dark hour before a war that will change the life of every human being.

This book was released on 2017-09-13 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nostradamus is not known for his cheery prophecies. Most interpreters of the 16th century physician, astrologer and prophet say he accurately predicted two world wars, the rise of two antichrists-Napoleon and Hitler-and even the assassination of John F. Kennedy. While skeptics are quick to point out that Nostradamus's quatrains, the four-line verses in which he wrote his prophecies, are so cryptic that they can be interpreted in any number of ways, scholars who have meticulously studied his work conclude that Nostradamus has been uncanny in his predictions of some of the most dramatic events of the 20th and previous centuries. But what of the 21st century? What, if anything, does Nostradamus have to say about the events of the current century? Many fear that his prophecies point to the event that most of the world has been dreading since the end of World War II and the introduction of nuclear weapons: World War III. Some say it's right around the corner, and with the events of Sept. 11 still haunting our psyche and the continuing tensions in the Middle East, a new war with global involvement isn't hard to imagine. PREDICTIONS OF WORLD WAR III Several years ago, author David S. Montaigne predicted the next world war would start in 2002 in his unambiguously tilted book, Nostradamus: World War III 2002. Although Nostradamus never specifically names the year in which World War III would begin, Montaigne cites this quatrain: Although it can be debated that the 57 years previous to 2002 were peaceful and a joy to mankind, Montaigne interpreted this quatrain as meaning "progress for fifty-seven years between World War II and World War III." And since the Second World War ended in 1945, 57 years brought us to 2002. Who would start the war and how? Montaigne pointed the finger at Osama bin Laden who, he says, would continue to stir up anti-American feelings within Islamic nations and would mastermind his attacks on the West from Istanbul, Turkey (Byzantium): Was Montaigne wrong? Some would argue that the September 11 attacks and our subsequent "War on Terrorism" could represent the opening battles in a conflict that could eventually escalate to World War III. From there, things get worse, of course. Montaigne suggests that Muslim armies will see their first big victory over Spain. Soon after, Rome will be destroyed with nuclear weapons, forcing the Pope to relocate: Montaigne interprets Nostradamus to say that even Israel will be defeated in this war led by bin Laden and later Saddam Hussein, both of whom, he says, are the Antichrist. (Obviously, he was wrong by naming those two leaders since they are both dead. But what of their followers and successors?) The war goes in favor of the Eastern forces (Muslims, China, and Poland) for awhile until the Western allies are joined by Russia and are finally victorious around the year 2012: Well, 2012 has come and gone with no world war, so is the timing just off? And will it all work out in the end? If these interpretations of Nostradamus are to be believed, it's going to be after a lot of death and suffering, much of it caused by the use of nuclear weapons by both sides in the fight. And Montaigne isn't alone in his reading of Nostradamus. Not everyone takes Nostradamus seriously either, of course. James Randi, for instance, doesn't think Nostradamus's predictions are worth the scrying mirror he saw them in. In his book, magician and pseudoscience debunker Randi contends that Nostradamus was not a prophet at all, but rather a clever writer who used purposefully ambiguous and cryptic language so that his quatrains could be interpreted to be referring to events once they had taken place.

Book excerpt: "A masterpiece of prophecy." -Whitley Strieber, author of "Communion" Prophets, such as Nostradamus, Stormberger and others introduced in this new and topical book accurately dated, detailed and forecast the coming of the First, the Second, and perhaps a "Third" World War. A new cold war between America and Russia "in our future" would merely be a short prelude to the threat of a civilization-ending nuclear exchange that no one saw coming. With open eyes we "walk into these great catastrophes," so they say. The danger begins when America and Russia display eagles as their national totems. That time is today. Read the prophets of world wars sound an alarm while there's still time to stop this war from happening. The future has another destiny. Edgar Cayce foresaw Russia becoming the "Hope of the World" with the help and support of American friendship. From citing future dangers to offering solutions, these prophets might show us a way to lasting peace.

Book excerpt: Nostradamus' prophecies have fueled bestselling books ever since he first published them in 1555. Unlike some authors, I'm not claiming to have broken a secret code or discovered lost books of prophecies. But I do claim to know the history, mythology, geography, astronomy, and biblical references Nostradamus uses to describe future events. This is my second book on Nostradamus - my fourth on a wider range of prophecy - and I feel confident that my "outrageous" claims are the most realistic interpretation of what Nostradamus wrote. Nostradamus' most common theme is the military invasion of Europe by an Islamic alliance of nations in the early 21st century. Iran and Turkey are mentioned most often, along with many other Muslim nations that unite to invade Southern and Western Europe. The United States is initially unable to help. Nostradamus repeatedly tells us that the war between Islam and Christianity progresses slowly into a world war lasting about 27 years in total. It ends no later than 2029, but could go nuclear much sooner. At least four cities will be nuked, including New York and Rome. Nostradamus did not see up to the year 3797. He knew the world as we know it ends in the early 21st century, just after the war between Islam and Christianity ends. He repeatedly describes an Islamic Antichrist and the fulfillment of all biblical end times prophecies during and immediately following the war, including a catastrophic pole shift that alters the surface of the Earth. Are you familiar with the prophecies in which Nostradamus described these future events? If the answer is "not yet" - read on and learn why Nostradamus said we would appreciate his predictions much more in the first half of the 21st century.

Book excerpt: The first major literary presentation of Nostradamus's Prophecies, newly translated and edited by prizewinning scholars The mysterious quatrains of the sixteenth-century French astrologer Nostradamus have long proved captivating for their predictions. Nostradamus has been credited with anticipating the Great Fire of London, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and the September 11 terrorist attacks. Today, as the world grapples with financial meltdowns, global terrorism, and environmental disasters—as well as the Mayan prediction of the apocalypse on December 21, 2012—his prophecies of doom have assumed heightened relevance. How has The Prophecies outlasted most books from the Renaissance? This edition considers its legacy in terms of the poetics of the quatrains, published here in a brilliant new translation and with introductory material and notes mapping the cultural, political, and historical forces that resonate throughout Nostradamus's epic, giving it its visionary power. For more than seventy years, Penguin has been the leading publisher of classic literature in the English-speaking world.
