Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is after years of teaching English to young children that this new course, Creative English, has been put together. Two things were in mind during its preparation: · What do children enjoy while learning a language? Stories are based on children’s interests and therefore hold their attention. For the first few classes, the lessons draw upon pupils’ everyday experience, allowing links to be made between home and school. · What does a teacher need while teaching a language? The books are structured to meet the requirements of teachers across the board. Someone who has just started a career in teaching would find it stimulating enough to give his or her best. Others, with years of experience, could use it as a tool to carry forward all the good they have been doing. Goyal Brothers Prakashan

Download or read book RETURN written by Dr. Ahuva Krell Goldenthal and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-11-08 with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some people think that the more mature we get, the easier we can bond with new friends. Others believe that the older we get, the more challenging relationships become. With age we might be less fl exible and more set in our ways. Lonely people often tend to regress to their childhood years. They become almost like children that seek their mothers nurturing and love. By reaching out to others for attention or love, we expect to get this nurturing feeling that we are seeking in return. Those who accept and embrace certain realizations have a greater chance for long-term success with partners, friends, and employers. For an older person that has a possessive, jealous streak could be challenging meeting new friends. It is always better to choose compatible friends to communicate and spend quality time with. Boring and nosy friends are nothing more than a disaster in a friendship. Try to get along with relatives and neighbors. If you fi nd it diffi cult, change sceneries, meet new people in your community, take a walk in a park, enjoy nature, and meet other nature lovers.

Book Synopsis First, Do Less Harm by : Ross Koppel
Download or read book First, Do Less Harm written by Ross Koppel and published by Cornell University Press. This book was released on 2012-05-15 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each year, hospital-acquired infections, prescribing and treatment errors, lost documents and test reports, communication failures, and other problems have caused thousands of deaths in the United States, added millions of days to patients’ hospital stays, and cost Americans tens of billions of dollars. Despite (and sometimes because of) new medical information technology and numerous well-intentioned initiatives to address these problems, threats to patient safety remain and in some areas are on the rise. In First, Do Less Harm, twelve health care professionals and researchers plus two former patients look at patient safety from a variety of perspectives, finding many of the proposed solutions to be inadequate or impractical. Several contributors to this book attribute the failure to confront patient safety concerns to the influence of the "market model" on medicine and emphasize the need for hospital-wide teamwork and greater involvement from frontline workers (from janitors and aides to nurses and physicians) in planning, implementing, and evaluating effective safety initiatives. Several chapters in First, Do Less Harm focus on the critical role of interprofessional and occupational practice in patient safety. Rather than focusing on the usual suspects—physicians, safety champions, or high level management—these chapters expand the list of "stakeholders" and patient safety advocates to include nurses, patient care assistants, and other staff, as well as the health care unions that may represent them. First, Do Less Harm also highlights workplace issues that negatively affect safety: including sleeplessness, excessive workloads, outsourcing of hospital cleaning, and lack of teamwork between physicians and other health care staff. In two chapters, experts explain why the promise of health care information technology to fix safety problems remains unrealized, with examples that are at once humorous and frightening. A book that will be required reading for physicians, nurses, hospital administrators, public health officers, quality and risk managers, healthcare educators, economists, and policymakers, First, Do Less Harm concludes with a list of twenty-seven paradoxes and challenges facing everyone interested in making care safe for both patients and those who care for them.

Book Synopsis Domestic Extremist by : Peachy Keenan
Download or read book Domestic Extremist written by Peachy Keenan and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2023-06-06 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spot-on, often satirical, always insightful, contributing editor of The American Mind and mother of a brood, Peachy Keenan argues that the only way we can save our families, ourselves, and the world—even California!—is by embracing our inner domestic extremists, and sweeping failed notions of third wave feminism and identity politics nonsense into the garbage can of history. In This House We Believe Parents Are the Bosses of Their Kids Babies Are Good, More Babies Are Better Two Sexes Are Plenty Your Career Is Overrated Feminism Is How the Unpopular and Undateable Cope with Life Mainstream American Culture Destroys Families We Are Going to Win We’re in a culture war, and Peachy Keenan is not taking prisoners. This raucous new book is her rallying cry for normal people stuck in the foxholes and appalled by the status quo. Mothers and fathers, regular American families, men and women, can win this battle together. But a lot of ground has been lost. For decades, we stood around and watched as feminists and progressives steamrolled through our institutions— those formerly robust, now comically inept, pillars of civilization like our government, our schools, and, crucially, our families. With matchless insight and devastating humor, Peachy Keenan makes the case for domestic extremism—turning away from the diseased offerings of the elites, the media, Hollywood, your child’s school, and Big Tech, and embracing a more human way of life. The life-changing magic of domestic extremism will spark joy and help you build a legacy that will enrich the lives of your (many) descendants.
