Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Revelation Revealed is a study of the book of Revelation. It is not an “end-times” book in that it does not seek to identify current events in the light of Bible prophecy; rather, Revelation Revealed examines the book of Revelation itself—what are its key imagery and symbols? What do they mean? What are the timelines of the book? What is the sequence of events? What are the Days of Noah? Who is “the Beast” and how do we understand him? What is the “mark of the Beast”? How do we understand "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes”? Is there a rapture? All of these questions, and many more, are addressed, with all questions being approached exclusively from the standpoint of Scripture itself—it is Scripture which answers these questions for us, and clear conclusions are reached. The events outlined in the book of Revelation are the most-prophesied events in the Bible, and Revelation Revealed shows that the book of Revelation is understandable, for God has given us all that we need in order to understand it.

A miser is a Scrooge, a strong man a Samson, a beautiful woman a modern-day Helen of Troy. From classical mythology to modern movies and TV shows, this revised and updated third edition explains the meanings of more than 2,000 allusions in use in modern English, from Abaddon to Zorro, Tartarus to Tarzan, and Rambo to Rubens. Based on an extensive reading program that has identified the most commonly used allusions, this fascinating volume includes numerous quotations to illustrate usage, drawn from sources ranging from Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens to Bridget Jones's Diary. In addition, the dictionary includes a useful thematic index, so that readers not only can look up Medea to find out how her name is used as an allusion, but also can look up the theme of "Revenge" and find, alongside Medea, entries for other figures used to allude to revenge, such as The Furies or The Count of Monte Cristo. Hailed by Library Journal as "wonderfully conceived and extraordinarily useful," this superb reference--now available in paperback--will appeal to anyone who enjoys language in all its variety. It is especially useful for students and writers.

Book excerpt: Slaves of Satan is an extraordinary book that looks at the darkest corners of the human and diabolical mind and answers the question of why. Why do human beings commit some of the most horrific, appalling, and unspeakable acts known to man. What is it that drives these evil people; serial killers, cult leaders, occultists, and dictators to leave a trail of murder, violence, sexual depravity, and total unmitigated destruction in their wake. Author Patrick Bell through years of extensive research has done a deep dive into one of religions most controversial and terrifying subjects, diabolical possession, and the most serious and horrifying form of it known as Perfect Possession. When a human being has given themselves, their intellect, mind, will and body, their very souls over completely to the source of all evil, Lucifer. The author examines the theology and church teaching behind perfect possession, the three types of it, who it occurs to and why and then examines people from history (Slaves of Satan) who were perfectly possessed including serial killers, dictators, the international occult elite and the diabolical deeds and destruction they have perpetrated, led on by their master the devil, upon the human race.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What Happened on the Cross offers a new and biblical understanding of how salvation was accomplished upon the cross, showing that the Penal Substitution view, common since the 1500s, does not have a biblical basis, and also showing that the Christus Victor understanding is inadequate. The book is founded upon the understanding that Jesus Christ is the Second Adam, and that is the foundation of how we are to understand how salvation was accomplished. Both the shedding of blood and death were essential in the accomplishment of salvation, and What Happened on the Cross shows why these were essential. Using over 740 Scripture verses to make its argument, the book gives a comprehensive picture from Genesis to Revelation of the many aspects involved in the accomplishment of salvation--above all showing clearly that the cross had nothing to do with "punishment for sins"--our sins were never punished upon the cross, rather, our sins were forgiven. Understanding how salvation was accomplished upon the cross, and that it was about forgiveness, not punishment, both exalts God and his greatness, demonstrates his perfect love and justice, as well as liberates our hearts towards him.

Book excerpt: This is Nick Armbrister's first collection of short stories, written from the late 90's to the present day. They cover several topics, like his poems, but in much more depth-from satanic actions by people worshipping an evil god ('Loss of the Ice Queen') to warriors of the sky using man's most powerful weapons in anger ('Final Flight'), to an attempt to control fate ('Spell to Find Amelia Earhart'), and to a post-nuclear townscape ('Second History', set in Oldham). Two of the stories are fragments of larger uncompleted/lost work that deserve inclusion here. One day these projects may well see the light of day, but for now, the author hopes the reader will enjoy his 'dark work'-in time he hopes to do a follow-up. These stories span his entire writing career. Though he prefers poetry as a means of incisive, concentrated power of expression, he loves short stories for their fun; even those that give one a glimpse into the dark side that lurks beneath the surface of life

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What would biology look like if it took the problem of natural evil seriously? This book argues that biological descriptions of evolution are inherently moral, just as the biblical story of creation has biological implications. A complete account of evolution will therefore require theological input. The Dome of Eden does not try to harmonize evolution and creation. Harmonizers typically begin with Darwinism and then try to add just enough religion to make evolution more palatable, or they begin with Genesis and pry open the creation account just wide enough to let in a little bit of evolution. By contrast, Stephen Webb provides a theory of how evolution and theology fit together, and he argues that this kind of theory is required by the internal demands of both theology and biology. The Dome of Eden also develops a theological account of evolution that is distinct from the intelligent design movement. Webb shows how intelligent design properly discerns the inescapable dimension of purpose in nature but, like Darwinism itself, fails to make sense of the problem of natural evil. Finally, this book draws on the work of Karl Barth to advance a new reading of the Genesis narrative and the theology of Duns Scotus to provide the necessary metaphysical foundation for evolutionary thought.

Luger documents his true story to discover his inner nature, revealing that he is himself Lucifer. Nostradamus’s prophecies are being revealed, and they speak of a world that you never knew could exist. There will only be one who is the Great Chyren, and he who is known as Lucifer is more than you could ever dare to imagine. Without a hint of a lie, this is indeed Lucifer’s testimony—a story that exists to help ensure the preservation of the human race for all eternity.

Shakespeare was a man of the theatre to his core, so it is no surprise that he repeatedly contemplated the nuts and bolts of his craft in his plays and poems. Shakespeare scholar Nick de Somogyi here draws together all the cherishable set pieces including "All the world's a stage," Hamlet's encounters with the Players, and Bottom's amateur theatricals along with many other oblique but no less revealing glances, and further insights into theatre practice by Shakespeare's contemporaries and rivals. De Somogyi's commentary takes us through the entire process of Shakespeare's theatrical production, from its casting and auditions, via rehearsals, costumes, and props, to its premiere and audience reception. Shakespeare on Theatre eavesdrops on the urgently whispered noises-off in the "tiring-house" and inhales the heady aroma of the Globe's first audiences.

Book excerpt: This authoritative reference work presents a full image of the Prince of Darkness as he appears throughout traditional theology, mythology, art and literature, and popular culture. This nonsensationalist encyclopedia examines contemporary images of the devil and sorts out the many different forms these images take. Although much of the myths relating to Satan derive directly or indirectly from the Christian tradition, the key sources of diabolical images today are horror movies, heavy metal music, and conservative Christian literature. This encyclopedia gives a brief overview depicting the history and transformation of the meaning of the Prince of Darkness, and 300 entries cover subjects like the angel of death, backward masking (messages revealed when songs are played backward), neopagan witchcraft, UFOs, and The Satanic Bible. Extensive appendixes include the l992 FBI study of satanic ritual abuse, the most influential document ever written on the subject, as well as sample satanic scriptures and a satanic wedding ceremony. Satanism Today also includes a chronology, bibliographies, and references.
