Book Synopsis State Estimation and Fault Diagnosis under Imperfect Measurements by : Yang Liu
Download or read book State Estimation and Fault Diagnosis under Imperfect Measurements written by Yang Liu and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2022-08-31 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The objective of this book is to present the up-to-date research developments and novel methodologies on state estimation and fault diagnosis (FD) techniques for a class of complex systems subject to closed-loop control, nonlinearities, and stochastic phenomena. It covers state estimation design methodologies and FD unit design methodologies including framework of optimal filter and FD unit design, robust filter and FD unit design, stability, and performance analysis for the considered systems subject to various kinds of complex factors. Features: Reviews latest research results on the state estimation and fault diagnosis issues. Presents comprehensive framework constituted for systems under imperfect measurements. Includes quantitative performance analyses to solve problems in practical situations. Provides simulation examples extracted from practical engineering scenarios. Discusses proper and novel techniques such as the Carleman approximation and completing the square method is employed to solve the mathematical problems. This book aims at Graduate students, Professionals and Researchers in Control Science and Application, Stochastic Process, Fault Diagnosis, and Instrumentation and Measurement.
Book Synopsis Belief Interval-Based Distance Measures in the Theory of Belief Functions by : Deqiang Han
Download or read book Belief Interval-Based Distance Measures in the Theory of Belief Functions written by Deqiang Han and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 18 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In belief functions related fields, the distance measure is an important concept, which represents the degree of dissimilarity between bodies of evidence. Various distance measures of evidence have been proposed and widely used in diverse belief function related applications, especially in performance evaluation. Existing definitions of strict and nonstrict distance measures of evidence have their own pros and cons. In this paper, we propose two new strict distance measures of evidence (Euclidean and Chebyshev forms) between two basic belief assignments based on the Wasserstein distance between belief intervals of focal elements. Illustrative examples, simulations, applications, and related analyses are provided to show the rationality and efficiency of our proposed measures for distance of evidence.

Book Synopsis Principles of Communications by : Rodger E. Ziemer
Download or read book Principles of Communications written by Rodger E. Ziemer and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2014-03-17 with total page 744 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ziemer and Tranter provide a thorough treatment of the principles of communications at the physical layer suitable for college seniors, beginning graduate students, and practicing engineers. This is accomplished by providing overviews of the necessary background in signal, system, probability, and random process theory required for the analog and digital communications topics covered in the book. In addition to stressing fundamental concepts, the seventh edition features sections on important areas such as spread spectrum, cellular communications, and orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing. While the book is aimed at a two-semester course, more than enough material is provided for structuring courses according to students need and instructor preference.
