This book was released on 2007-05-08 with total page 734 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The fifth Conference on Ultra-Wideband Short-Pulse Electromagnetics was held in Scotland from 30 May to 2 June 2000 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. It formed part of the EUROEM 2000 International Conference under the chairmanship of David Parkes (DERA, Malvern) and Paul Smith (University of Dundee). It continued the series of international conferences that were held first at the Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York in 1992 and 1994, then in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1996 (as part of AMEREM ’96) and more recently in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1998 (as part of EUROEM ’98). The purpose of these meetings is to focus on advanced technologies for the generation, radiation and detection of ultra-wideband short pulse signals, taking into account their propagation, scattering from and coupling to targets of interest; to report on developments in supporting mathematical and numerical methods; and to describe current and potential future applications of the technology.

Book Synopsis Pulsed Discharge Plasmas by : Tao Shao
Download or read book Pulsed Discharge Plasmas written by Tao Shao and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-07-14 with total page 1028 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book highlights the latest progress in pulsed discharge plasmas presented by front-line researchers worldwide. The science and technology surrounding pulsed discharge plasmas is advanced through a wide scope of interdisciplinary studies into pulsed power and plasma physics. Pulsed discharge plasmas with high-power density, high E/N and high-energy electrons can effectively generate highly reactive plasma. Related applications have gathered strong interests in various fields. With contributions from global scientists, the book elaborates on the theories, numerical simulations, diagnostic methods, discharge characteristics and application technologies of pulsed discharge plasmas. The book is divided into three parts with a total of 35 chapters, including 11 chapters on pulsed discharge generation and mechanism, 12 chapters on pulsed discharge characterization and 12 chapters on pulsed discharge applications (wastewater treatments, biomedicine, surface modification, and energy conversion, etc). The book is a must-have reference for researchers and engineers in related fields and graduate students interested in the subject.

Book Synopsis A Study of Nanosecond Pulse Techniques in Radar Transmission by : Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory
Download or read book A Study of Nanosecond Pulse Techniques in Radar Transmission written by Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory and published by . This book was released on 1961 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A study is made of important subsystems for high energy, wide instantaneous bandwidth radar transmitters. The relative merits of direct short pulse operation and pulse compression techniques to obtain high range resolution are explored. Included are the present and predicted capabilities of pulse modulators and r-f sources, design information on electrical breakdown and attenuation of transmission lines, effects of high peak and average power on microwave window materials, and the effects of propagation parameter anomalies on wide bandwidth radar transmissions. Appropriate supporting material such as an introduction to special analytical techniques, and a survey of wideband radar receivers is also included. (Author).

Book Synopsis Nanosecond Time Differences by Dynamic Storage of Flip-flop Pulses by : Gunther Franke
Download or read book Nanosecond Time Differences by Dynamic Storage of Flip-flop Pulses written by Gunther Franke and published by . This book was released on 1967 with total page 16 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Time differences are measured after dynamic storage of the original flip-flop pulses and are stretched by a factor exceeding 250. Stability of the circuit is demonstrated by the absence of time jitter. The presented circuit apparently shows considerable advantages in comparison with devices applying digital counters. (Author).
Book Synopsis Dosimetry in Bioelectromagnetics by : Marko Markov
Download or read book Dosimetry in Bioelectromagnetics written by Marko Markov and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2017-05-23 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dosimetry refers to the calculation and assessment of the radiation dose received by the human body. The proposed book will place emphasis on the existence of physical and biophysical dosimetry. It will be discussed for the proper description and evaluation of the signal at the power generation system. It will cover in detail 10 different parameters of EMF (electromagnetism) exposure such as amplitude, frequency, vector, time of exposure, orientation, etc. In most published papers, these parameters are not well defined.
