Book excerpt: This author has been through the valley of the shadow of death. When I chose to use illegal drugs, I lost. I lost my whole family to drugs, except for my dad. I lost my jobs, my marriages, my children; I lost two brothers (from drug overdoses and alcohol poisoning), and my mom died of transverse myelitis all within a six-month period. I lost a nephew a few years later (from a drug overdose). When you chose illegal drugs, you choose death--death of body and spirit. Your life will look like a battlefield with bodies of your friends and family strewn about. I lost my dignity and self-respect and nearly my own life many times. I thought the only answer to every problem was suicide. If I got arrested, I took pills to try to overdose; if I had a conflict with anyone, I tried to kill myself. Even if I had a toothache, I tried to slit my wrists. I did die once but was revived. I ran from the law, was arrested, and spent time in jail several times. I lost my apartments and became homeless. You would think God was not with me during these dark times, but He was. I called on Him many times through prayer, and He was always there. Satan was with me also, and I felt shear evil when I saw Satan face-to-face once. But I also felt unspeakable joy when I saw Jesus Christ face-to-face. It was a hard journey to find Christ, but I read my scriptures, studied, and prayed. Remember, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). And know that you are a "child of God"--a child of a King--and you have royal blood running through your veins. The worth of your soul is great. Jesus Christ is your shepherd, and He goes after lost sheep and brings them back to His fold. He may not come in person to save you, but He will send someone, as he did for me. Nathan, working with the bishop of our church, was the man (my personal angel) who took me off of the streets when I was homeless. I will ever be grateful. I believe "I'm still here" because Christ wants me to teach others what I have learned about the destruction that comes to you when you make drugs the center part of your life instead of Christ. I can tell you that the only way back from addiction to drugs is through Jesus Christ.

My parents were told that I had experience a ruptured cerebral aneurysm, and only time could tell if I would be well enough for surgery. My Version: I’m Still Here, is simply that, my version of what took place, what I thought was happening versus what was really happening and my feelings of the entire experience. When you experience trauma, some things you remember, and some things aren’t quite in order, but I don’t want to share with you what others told me, but the way I thought it happened. This is simply my testimony of how awesome God is. I don’t just go by what others say about Him, I know Him to be my Healer.

Whenever we are faced with fear and grief, we can sometimes take matters into our own hands and use man’s knowledge and wisdom to control things. When this occurs, we can find ourselves leaning on our own understanding and not on faith. Tom Nottingham allows the fear of losing his business to become his priority, resulting in the neglect of his family. Following a dreadful accident where his family dies, he is weighed down by grief and guilt until it consumes his energy. He goes deep into his grief, slips into a self-made cocoon of depression, loses touch with his emotions, and is no longer stirred by anything. He becomes like a dead man walking. When Robert Montgomery, a Good Samaritan, comes into the situation, it is a challenge for him to breach Tom’s cocoon. Through some divinely appointed circumstances, Robert receives wisdom regarding how to break through to Tom. Along with a cast of characters all working to help Tom, God is enabled to do an incredible work of healing as he did with King Nebuchadnezzar!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New York Times bestselling authors of Lessons from the Light offer a new and provocative understanding of heaven and how messages from the afterlife can assist you in the here and now. We live in a world of near-universal acceptance that once our lives on the earth come to an end we continue to a greater world. Whether that destination is called "Heaven," "Nirvana," or simply "The Other Side," tradition teaches us that there is, in most cases, a fairy-tale ending to life, a place where joy and harmony reigns supreme. Yet, as this book attests there is still more to heaven and earth than is dreamt of in our philosophies. George Anderson is considered by many to be the greatest medium living today. After more than 50 years of hearing from souls who have transitioned to the world hereafter, he is constantly reminded by those who have passed that our preconceived notions of this life—and the next—aren’t always accurate. The nine stories in this book illuminate times when unusual circumstances such as sudden death, unresolved emotions, abusive relationships, and painful family dynamics, make it necessary for the dead and the living to find new doors to healing. In session with Anderson, survivors and those who have passed meet again in encounters that are profound, bittersweet, highly-emotional and sometimes, downright, funny. What we learn is that there are little-known spiritual treasures—and lessons to be learned—about heaven and earth that can restore, revitalize, and make new what was once broken. Life Between Heaven and Earth is an inspiring, thought-provoking, path-changing work, one that affirms that no matter how complicated a circumstance is, resolution, peace and acceptance can be found in deep and remarkable ways.

Book excerpt: In Rethas Song: A Rhapsody of the Soul, Retha hears her God, the sun, speak to her for the first time at the age of seven. He speaks of a baby boy being born who lived far away from her and is her beloved. As long as she listens to Gods voice and stays on her path and the young boy stays on his path, with Gods guidance, they will meet. She strays many times from the voice of God and her path. During the journey, she is struck with a devastating Bipolar Disorder, and her young son is diagnosed with Crohns disease, which nearly took his life. Her faith began taking new direction, and she began experiencing phenomenal supernatural events in her life. Her intuition became increasingly powerful; however, internal, mind-altering suffering kept plaguing her. Music, directed by the angels, was the compelling force that was the interwoven thread that could bring these two souls together, as they are both singers and songwriters. Could a miracle happen?
