Book Synopsis At Last My Love-This I Promise by : Peebee Jax
Download or read book At Last My Love-This I Promise written by Peebee Jax and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-07-23 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When two hearts become one, both happiness and sometimes sadness will find a place in that seemingly perfect union. As much happiness as we shared, when I look back over our life together, I was blessed that God allowed me to experience such joy and love every day with a man who not only made promises but kept those promises. Even though I have also witnessed sadness to an unimaginable degree since his unexpected death, I can truly say I was still blessed to have loved and been loved to a magnitude I do not have words to describe. A lifetime cannot be defined in terms of hours, days, years, decades or century. Regardless of the length of time any relationship lasts, we must learn to live every minute like it is our last. That is what my one true love taught me! He added truth, honesty, love and devotion together and we had a sum total of joy and happiness divided by the number of offsprings produced by that love. And we never parted in anger or unforgiveness--because no one can predict what the next minute will bring. Sometimes I think my love was just too wise for this world--that is why God called him home to be with Him. As I look back over our life together, I feel enormously blessed by God to have had such a love as this in my lifetime. Only God made it possible. Only God allowed me to experience total bliss for a little while (29.8 years). Words cannot describe the memories stored in my memory bank of our span of time together. In all my days of blissful retreat, the only thing I feel I did not do enough of is giving grateful praise to the Almighty for creating that soul mate just for me and I for him. Life will go on and in each whisk of air against my skin as I sit and read, I will remember it is you my love stopping by to see me every now and then. God saw you were getting tired; So He did what He knew was best. He watched and waited for the exact time, You were in most need of some rest. You did not say to me farewell; Nor even a wave good-bye. God took you swift and easy-- I dare not ask God why. He gave you to me for a while; I loved you with all my heart, I showed you, I told you daily, Even in death, we are not apart. Rest easy Honey until I get there, I will know you when I arrive. We will be just two angels forever, Always--partners--side by side.
Book Synopsis A Simple Christmas by : Mike Huckabee
Download or read book A Simple Christmas written by Mike Huckabee and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2009-11-03 with total page 171 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New York Times bestseller by the former governor and presidential candidate-an instant classic, reissued for 2010. Christmas has become synonymous with shopping, overindulging, and stress. But according to Mike Huckabee, that was never God's intention. Going back to the Nativity, Christmas is supposed to be about simple things: faith, love, family, and hope. The hard part, in today's crazy world, is remembering that those simple things are the most precious. Huckabee recounts twelve Christmas memories that range from his childhood in Arkansas to his years as a young husband and father to his time as a governor and then a presidential candidate. These true stories will help you smile, take a deep breath, and maybe slow down your own holiday treadmill. For instance, as kids, Mike and his sister would sneak open their gifts before Christmas, play with them, then rewrap them so their parents wouldn't notice. The plan worked great until one Christmas when young Mike unwrapped a brand-new football...that was covered in mud. That led to a powerful lesson about patience and a reminder that the best Christmases are the simple ones.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At an early age Dathien Grainger went throughout life curious, not knowing, second guessing and continued to get lost within himself. Not even himself knew exactly how much intellect he really had until self mentality was all that was left. He had to maneuver, he had to be efficient, and he had to be diligent. Life wasn't a game nor to be played with, it would take becoming alone and losing everything several times before he had begun to realize that there were keys, structures, building blocks that he had learned from his past that would be his ability to mold him from his cycle of disbelief and unknowing before he could become in tuned enough to realize that he to; was worth it...Life

Book Synopsis Somethin's in My Water by : Sherry A. Wright
Download or read book Somethin's in My Water written by Sherry A. Wright and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2009-04 with total page 106 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "You've heard of 3D movies...This is 3D emotions" For ages poetry has been used as an outlet to express the inner affections of the hearts of those in love. While those affections can be hard to describe on paper, Sherry Wright has done it with ease and seems to capture the true human emotions that go along with such passionate sentiments. Wright wrote each poem as a script, allowing the reader to become the "actor" and feel the range of emotions as they read her heartfelt words. Wright's melodic poems came from what she calls "inspiredwordsoul" which is a mixture of inspiration, imagination and emotions. Although the poems are about relationships, they are not limited to the romantic kind. Many of the poems have a variety of meanings, and Wright leaves it up to the reader to interpret each as they choose. "I tell people to read Somethin's in My Water aloud in order to actually feel the message and emotions." Poetry buffs and novices alike can appreciate and connect with the easy-read style of Wright's poems. She effortlessly puts into words the emotions relationships evoke, yet many times are difficult to voice.

Then you will love Annie! Annie's a shy fifth grader with an incredible memory and a love of making lists. It helps her keep track of things when they can seem a little out of control, like her family, her friends, and her life in a new place. Annie has: 1. An incredible memory (really, it's almost photographic) that can get her in trouble. 2. A brother who is mad at her because he thinks she is the reason they had to move to Clover Gap, population 8,432. 4. A best friend who she is (almost) certain will always be her best friend. 5. New classmates, some of whom are nicer than others. 6. A rocky start finding her place in her new home. From the author of The 47 People You'll Meet in Middle School, Annie's Life in Lists finds that even amid the chaos of everyday life, it's important to put things in order. "Perfect for anyone who's ever worried about starting a new school, saying the wrong thing, dying of embarrassment, or losing a best friend. I loved getting to know Annie through her lists!" --Kelly Jones, author of Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer
Download or read book Creeker written by Linda DeRosier and published by University Press of Kentucky. This book was released on 2010-09-12 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Linda Sue Preston was born on a feather bed in the upper room of her Grandma Emmy's log house in the hills of eastern Kentucky. More than fifty years later, Linda Scott DeRosier has come to believe that you can take a woman out of Appalachia but you can't take Appalachia out of the woman. DeRosier's humorous and poignant memoir is the story of an educated and cultured woman who came of age in Appalachia. She remains unabashedly honest about and proud of her mountain heritage. Now a college professor, decades and notions removed from the creeks and hollows, DeRosier knows that her roots run deep in her memory and language and in her approach to the world. DeRosier describes an Appalachia of complexity and beauty rarely seen by outsiders. Hers was a close-knit world; she says she was probably eleven or twelve years old before she ever spoke to a stranger. She lovingly remembers the unscheduled, day-long visits to friends and family, when visitors cheerfully joined in the day's chores of stringing beans or bedding out sweet potatoes. No advance planning was needed for such trips. Residents of Two-Mile Creek were like family, and everyone was ""delighted to see each other wherever, whenever, and for however long."" Creeker is a story of relationships, the challenges and consequences of choice, and the impact of the past on the present. It also recalls one woman's struggle to make and keep a sense of self while remaining loyal to the people and traditions that sustained her along life's way. Told with wit, candor, and zest, this is Linda Scott DeRosier's answer to the question familiar in Appalachia--""Who are your people?""

Book Synopsis Gorilla Dreams: the Legacy of Dian Fossey by : Georgianne Nienaber
Download or read book Gorilla Dreams: the Legacy of Dian Fossey written by Georgianne Nienaber and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2006-02-21 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imagine that murdered primatologist Dr. Dian Fossey of Gorillas in the Mist fame were alive today and able to reflect upon her death as well as her legacy. This is the impetus behind author Georgianne Nienaber's compelling work, Gorilla Dreams: The Legacy of Dian Fossey. At the beginning of Gorilla Dreams, Fossey attends her own funeral and watches her murdered gorillas interacting with the graveside bystanders. She establishes a new relationship with the slain gorilla Digit, who acts as her guide after death as she carefully reviews her life, its challenges, successes, hardships, and the ultimate closure of her murder. Although Fossey's death is officially unsolved, recently released documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, as well as testimony from the International War Crimes Tribunal proceedings, offer new suspects, motives, and opportunities. Every fact about Fossey's life is meticulously annotated. However, the setting of her conversations with the murdered gorillas is obviously fictional, yet steeped in African tradition. Gorilla Dreams: The Legacy of Dian Fossey is a biographical interpretation of the famed primatologist's life that honors the African belief that the dead live on in spiritual form.
