Book Synopsis Quarter-Mile Mustangs by : Doug Boyce
Download or read book Quarter-Mile Mustangs written by Doug Boyce and published by CarTech Inc. This book was released on 2022-05-15 with total page 144 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Blast down the quarter mile in the first two generations of Ford’s legendary pony car across all drag racing classes in Quarter-Mile Mustangs! Since first becoming a mass-market success in mid-1964, the Ford Mustang has made millions of passes down the quarter mile on sanctioned drag strips. With styling flared toward the youth, aftermarket parts manufacturers saw an enormous opportunity to produce go-fast components to aid in propelling Ford’s pony car down the 1320. The success of these cars was immediate. In the hands of successful and seasoned pros, such as Gas Ronda, Bill Lawton, and Dick Brannan, Ford unleashed the devastatingly potent 1965 A/FX Mustang fastback, which was built by Blue Oval stalwarts Holman & Moody with the 427 SOHC (Cammer) engine that unleashed havoc on mother Mopar. From those very first factory drag cars through the fabled 1968-1/2 Cobra Jets, drag racing historian Doug Boyce highlights the many successes of pioneers, such as “Dyno” Don Nicholson, Les Ritchey, Phil Bonner, Hubert Platt, and Al Joniec. However, it’s not just all doorslammers. As A/FX transitioned into Funny Car, a whole new chapter in Mustang drag racing was written with Mickey Thompson taking the reins and steering Mustangs to success throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. The muscle car-era Mustangs joined the Mustang II and soldiered on the best they could as ever-changing rules hampered Ford’s new pony body, with drivers Bob Glidden and Nicholson trying to squeeze every bit of performance out of the diminutive pony. Quarter-Mile Mustangs: The History of Ford’s Pony Car at the Drag Strip 1964-1/2-1978 brings forth the most in-depth coverage of these cars at the drag strip. Don’t get caught sleeping at the light!

Book Synopsis Justice, Justice, Where Art Thou? by : William Ballhaus, Sr
Download or read book Justice, Justice, Where Art Thou? written by William Ballhaus, Sr and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2005-10 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Justice, Justice, Where Art Thou? tells many real life stories of people who have been the victims of the Courts, Judges, and Attorneys in the United States. The author's search for justice in the courts relates the terrible experiences he endured at the mercy of the legal system. Specific judicial errors of fact and of law subjected the author to severe injustices at the hands of judges who ignored his right to a trial by jury. He tried to find justice at all levels: City Courts, State Courts, Federal Courts, Courts of Appeals, and even the United States Supreme Court. None of the courts was interested in seeing that justice was done to the author. That lack of justice led the author to study many cases tried in the various courts of the country. It was difficult to find that justice was attained in many cases. There were a few fine results, but they were very rare. As Mark Twain said, "Judges and lawyers use the law to defeat the ends of justice."
Book Synopsis The Kid Justice Series by : Gary P. Laird
Download or read book The Kid Justice Series written by Gary P. Laird and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2014-03 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Kid Justice Series is trying to send a message to the youth of this world that it is alright to be normal. It's alright to help people in need and that it is wrong to do harm to our fellow men and women. This is the first volume. Volume two is being written at present. The book covers some of the wrong that our young may encounter and the evil forces a city can thrust upon them. It is not trying to scare anyone but does show, in a graphic way, some of the issues all society is confronted with, day in and day out. Kid Justice, (Corey Groves), is a young man, eighteen years of age, who becomes dedicated to fighting crimes of all kinds, and is a young master of the martial arts. His master teacher is Master Jung, his uncle, who becomes his father after Corey's parents are killed in a car accident. Together they create the Justice Team and work alongside the police as a surveillance squad displaying a presence that becomes a deterring force to be reckoned with. The Justice Team starts out with just four members. Corey, Lake, Sheena and their Master Teacher, Master Jung. You'll have to buy the book to find out how they become a team and all the issues they are confronted with. It has action for those who like that. It has romance for the women and some of the issues a young girl might encounter while growing up. So please enjoy! The two continued walking and then suddenly heard a screaming cry for help. It was loud enough to pierce an ear drum. Seeing a young girl being bullied by two of the scum they had been searching for, caused them to accelerate to the scene like two black and whites without lights and sirens. Scum being what they are took the girl using her for cover with a switch blade at her throat. They were brave enough to bully a girl, innocent and kindhearted, causing her to fear for her life; but weak and cowardly when threatened by a force to be reckoned with. Corey slowly closed the distance to the bully. "Don't come any closer man," This scum that doesn't respect anything, human or otherwise, warned.
