Kohler in the German city of Leipzig. Personal and Place names in the text have been rendered in their modem Turkish forms,and the English of the 1929 version has also been updated in many places in the interest of clarity. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881 – 10 November 1938) was a Turkish army officer, revolutionary, and the first President of Turkey. He is credited with being the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
