Book excerpt: Spanish Abstract: Este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la motivación y la información sobre seguridad y salud presentada en memorias de sostenibilidad elaboradas de acuerdo con el modelo GRI por las organizaciones afines con los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS) de las Naciones Unidas. En los últimos años se ha publicado un gran número de trabajos académicos analizándose muchas áreas específicas en reporting sostenible, pero la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SST) no ha recibido excesiva atención, a pesar de ser un área relevante de la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC). Tratando de aportar un enfoque propio a este objeto de investigación, centraremos nuestro análisis en la motivación e información emitida sobre la SST por parte de las empresas certificadas conforme a OHSAS 18001 e ISO 45001. A través de un análisis de contenido cualitativo se analiza la información sobre SST contenida en las memorias de sostenibilidad de 628 de distintos países con certificado OHSAS 18001 y/o ISO 45001. El estudio muestra que las certificaciones de la gestión de la SST se demandan principalmente debido a presiones en la cadena de suministro y se traducen en una exigua información pública compatible con una perspectiva de adopción simbólica o superficial de los estándares. Concretamente, se constata una información sobre la SST muy genérica y que no considera las indicaciones establecidas por el modelo GRI, una perspectiva de reporting motivada por la búsqueda de legitimidad social, la mejora de la imagen corporativa, la reputación y el reconocimiento externo.

It has significant social impacts and magnifies existing inequalities such as the disparity between women and men in their vulnerability and ability to cope with this global phenomenon.
