Book excerpt: L'objet du présent travail est l'étude du comportement des matériaux composites stratifiés constitués d'un empilement de couches composées de résine époxy renforcée par des fibres de verre unidirectionnelles. L'ensemble de ces travaux nécessite l'analyse de nombreuses données expérimentales qui requièrent souvent la réalisation d'essais mécaniques multiaxiaux. Nous présentons au chapitre 1 les différents dispositifs expérimentaux utilisés lors de l'étude, notamment un montage permettant des sollicitations de traction-torsion-pression interne sur éprouvettes tubulaires. Nous traitons, au chapitre 2, le problème de la représentativité des éprouvettes. Afin de déterminer les limites de similitudes de comportement entre éprouvettes et structures, une série de tests comparatifs est effectuée sur une palette d'échantillons dont les formes géométriques diffèrent (éprouvettes plates, tubulaires, diamètres et épaisseurs variables). Les résultats obtenus sont ensuite analysés et discutés. Les deux derniers chapitres sont consacrés à la partie modélisation de notre travail. Dans un premier temps, nous établissons un modèle de comportement plastique endommagé d'une couche au sein d'un stratifié pour des sollicitations quasi-statiques. Dans un deuxième temps, nous accédons au comportement du stratifié à l'aide de méthodes numériques appropriées. Ces techniques permettent l'extension de la Théorie Classique des Stratifiés au domaine plastique endommagé. Finalement, après avoir exposé la méthodologie d'identificatlon des paramètres du modèle, nous aboutissons à des simulations numérlques très satisfaisantes.

Book excerpt: L'objectif de cette thèse est le développement d'un modèle de calcul par éléments finis du comportement en statique des matériaux stratifiés métal-composite (élasticité, plasticité, endommagement) avec validation expérimentale. On a utilisé un élément fini de plaque de membrane-flexion quadrangulaire incluant les effets de cisaillement transversal. Le comportement d'une couche est considéré soit isotrope élastoplastique (métal), soit isotrope transverse élastique endommageable (composite). On utilise un modèle d'endommagement basé sur l'approche de Ladevèze et col. associant la dégradation du composite aux mécanismes de décohésion fibre-matrice et de fissuration de la matrice. En chaque point de calcul dans l'épaisseur de chaque couche, les contraintes, les déformations plastiques ou les variables d'endommagement sont obtenues à l'aide d'une méthode implicite. L'algorithme de résolution itératif utilisé est celui de Newton-Raphson. On a appliqué notre modèle à l'étude du comportement des stratifiés ARALL et GLARE. L'identification des lois de comportement a été réalisée sur des essais de traction sur les matériaux de base des différentes configurations. Des essais de traction et de flexion pour différentes orientations de fibres ont permis de montrer une bonne concordance entre les calculs et l'expérience.
