Bills and Overtures - Rev. E. Kempshall, D.D., Rev. Henry M. Booth, Rev. R. Aikman, D.D., Rev. J. Allen Maxwell, Elders W. V. D. Field, J. H. Halsey, Jeremiah Baker. II. Judicial Committee - Rev. A. Gosman, D.D., Rev, Thaddeus Wilson, Rev. William C. Roberts, D.D., Rev. J. Romeyn Berry, D.D., Elders E. P. Starr, Qainton Gibbon, M.D., C. M. Woodruff. III. On the Minutes of the General Assembly - Rev. Charles K. Imbrie, D.D., Rev. Oliver Crane, Rev. Samuel Miller, D.D., Elders Ira M. Harrison, Ellis S. Potter. Judicial Case. The Stated Clerk announced that a paper entitled "Complaint of R. S. Kennedy against the Presbytery of Newton," had been placed in his hands. Resolved, That the paper be referred to the Judicial Committee. Synod then adjourned, to meet at nine o'clock on Wednesday morning. Closed with prayer. Synod met, pursuant to adjournment, at nine o'clock A.M. Half an hour was spent in devotional exercises, after which Synod was called to order for business. The minutes of the previous day were read and approved. Orders Of The Day. 1st. At eleven o'clock, to hear Rev. H. R. Wilson, D.D., in relation to Church Erection. 2d. To hear Rev. D. Irving, D.D., in relation to Foreign Missions. 3d. To hear the report of the Standing Committee on Church Extension and Home Missions.
