Les procédés de stabilisation et solidification des sédiments retenus sont à base de liants hydrauliques et d'activateurs et destinés à différents travaux de construction.Le premier chapitre introduit les notions de sédiments en Chine (distribution ) et de leur gestion dans les zones côtières (valorisation).Le second chapitre est une étude bibliographique sur les pratiques menées actuellement sur la valorisation des sédiments à l'aide de liants hydrauliques. Dans cette partie, nous abordons principalement les techniques et leurs principes ainsi que les essais menés en laboratoire. Ceci tient compte du développement et des tendances actuelle de la construction sur le littoral de la Chine, et aussi la gestion actuelle des sédiments (du point de vue réglementaire), objet du première chapitre introductif.Le second chapitre est consacré à la méthodologie de caractérisation générale des matériaux mis en oeuvre: sédiments et composants. Comment aborde-t-on les caractéristiques physiques et chimiques, la composition minéralogique et la notion d'impact environnemental des sédiments de dragage à traiter et des liants utilisés.Le troisième chapitre présente la technique de solidification/stabilisation d'eveloppée dans cinq projets pour différents ouvrages géotechniques. Pour chaque cas d'étude, les essais de laboratoire et les essais réalisés en chantier sont décrits. Puis l'analyse des résultats d'essais afin de comparer l'efficacité des différents traitements appliqués est menée précisément sur les effets des matériaux mis en œuvre au sein des ouvrages envisagés.Le quatrième chapitre conclusif porte sur l'évaluation de l'impact environnemental de la solidification des sédiments et sur l'analyse complète de l'application des sédiments marins traités dans les travaux de la construction en particulier des avantages sociaux et économiques. Une perspective de travaux à poursuivre, et des besoins en recherche appliquée constituent le dernière chapitre.

Experiments were conducted in a laboratory flume with a cross section consisting of a wide floodplain adjacent to a main channel. The embankment length, discharge, sediment size, and abutment shape were varied, and the resulting equilibrium scour depths were measured. Water-surface profiles, velocities, and scour-hole contours were also measured. In the report, a methodology is developed for estimating abutment scour that takes into account the redistribution of discharge in the bridge contraction, abutment shape, sediment size, and tailwater depth. The independant variables in the proposed scour formula are evaluated at the approach-channel cross section and can be obtained froma one-dimensional water-surface profile computer program such as the Water-Surface Profile Program (WSPRO). The proposed scour evaluation procedure is outlined and illustrated, including consideration of the time required to reach equilibrium scour. The proposed methodology is applied to two cases of measured scour in the field.
