Download or read book Senza Fine written by Giuseppe Govinda and published by Isola Di Govinda. This book was released on 2023-11-09 with total page 317 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Mandalas written by Daniela Gonschorek and published by . This book was released on 2018-11-18 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Creative relaxation with Mandala motifs for coloring Let the lines guide you and embark on an exciting journey of discovery. These motifs have been developed especially for people with visual and motor difficulties. Problems, which the author also has. In spite of the large offer she never found the suitable templates for herself and so she developed her own templates. Annotation of the author: "I tend to look at every picture with my nose on the canvas. I'm very fond of detail and like to drive with my finger along lines and structures. The reason why the outlines of my motifs are thicker than usual is that I have motor problems and can hardly drive along a delicate black line with a crayon without painting over it. This annoys me every time and these Mandala motifs forgive me for one or the other unwanted swerve." Softcover, 21.59 cm x 21.59 cm (8.5'' x 8.5''), 36 motifs, each with an unprinted back so that pens cannot push their way through the underlying image. If you like a motive particularly well, you can easily cut it out and hang it up or give it away. When using felt pens, however, I would put a loose sheet of paper between the pages. Just for safety. Mandalas are geometric forms oriented towards a centre and can be found in many cultures. From India and Tibet they spread with Buddhism in East Asia. They activate the subconscious during meditation and have a positive effect on the psyche. The Indians also know this symbolism. A mandala appeals above all to spiritually oriented people, but it also stands for joie de vivre, energy and unity with the universe.
Book Synopsis Architettura himalayana by : Valerio Sestini
Download or read book Architettura himalayana written by Valerio Sestini and published by Edizioni Polistampa. This book was released on 2007 with total page 380 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Download or read book Ultimate Healing written by Thubten Zopa and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2012-01-30 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We experience illness on a physical level, but in order to be healed, we must understand where true healing begins: within our hearts and minds. In Ultimate Healing, internationally renowned meditation master Lama Zopa Rinpoche helps us to recognize the root of illness and gives us the tools to create our future happiness. Beginning with stories of people who have recovered from disease through meditation, Rinpoche addresses the central role played by karma and by the mental habit of "labeling" in causing illness, and shows how meditation and other thought techniques for developing compassion and insight can eliminate the ultimate cause of all disease. Ultimate Healing shows us that by transforming our minds, especially through the development of compassion, we can eliminate the ultimate cause of all disease. In addition to relating stories of people who have recovered from disease through meditation, Lama Zopa presents practical healing meditations, including white-light healing, compassion meditation, "taking and giving", and techniques to cure depression.

The Sixth Ling Rinpoché (1903–83) was a towering figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Combining great learning with great humility, he was ordained by the Thirteenth Dalai Lama and went on to serve as the the head of the Geluk tradition and as the senior tutor to the present Dalai Lama. Book Synopsis Like a Waking Dream by : Lhundub Sopa
Download or read book Like a Waking Dream written by Lhundub Sopa and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2012-11-24 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among the generation of elder Tibetan lamas who brought Tibetan Buddhism west in the latter half of the twentieth century, perhaps none has had a greater impact on the academic study of Buddhism than Geshe Lhundub Sopa. He has striven to preserve Tibetan religious culture through tireless work as a professor and religious figure, establishing a functioning Buddhist monastery in the West, organizing the Dalai Lama's visits to the U.S., and offering countless teachings across the country. But prior to his thirty-year career in the first ever academic Buddhist studies program in the United States - a position in which he oversaw the training of many among the seminal generation of American Buddhist studies scholars - Geshe Sopa was the son of peasant farmers, a novice monk in a rural monastery, a virtuoso scholar-monk at one of the prestigious central monasteries in Lhasa, and a survivor of the Tibetan uprising and perilous flight into exile in 1959. In Like a Waking Dream, Geshe Sopa frankly and observantly reflects on how his life in Tibet - a monastic life of yogic simplicity - shaped and prepared him for the unexpected. His is a tale of an exemplary life dedicated to learning, spiritual cultivation, and the service of others from one of the greatest living masters of Tibetan Buddhism.
