Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Winter roads were unusually icy in San Antonio, and schools had already cancelled classes more than once. Linda Montez decided to take the bus to work. She soon realized the bus was more than a mode of transportation. For her, it was an avenue for ministry. Linda tells 30 stories about the people she met on the bus, the situations she encountered, and the insights she gained. Through times of joy, fear, prayer, laughter, and also the quietly contemplative, she eagerly anticipated her next new acquaintance. The Lord used what was very ordinary to bring extraordinary blessings. Serving the Lord requires that we do not limit Him. No particular college degree necessary. No need to wait for an official mission trip. And certainly that we do not rule out possibilities because theyre outside the box. Like something so ordinary as riding a city bus. For Linda, riding the bus brought unmatched thrill and amazement. Whether you read this book all at once or as a daily devotional, may you be encouraged to look for God in your daily living. May you see Him orchestrate people and circumstances. May we all show up ready to the Lords call and watch Him work.

The things that happened to Victoria shows us that even though we go through many struggles, we can be encouraged in our spirits to continue in the faith. Every thing that looks bad is not always bad, for all things work together for our good. After reading this, you're encouraged to continue to pray, to stand, and to hold on to God's unchanging hand. Thanks for your words of encouragement that were birthed out of your discouragement. Eleanor Pressley After reading the book, it appears that you were destined to go through much pain, but with each occurrence, the Lord pulled you out. Destined to carry the crosses and yet you've made it (suffering for His name sake). It's not a bad thing; it's a good thing. He has given you the anointing and grace to overcome every challenge in your life. For His glory - others have seen and felt your need to carry crosses but few have helped you to carry them. Jackie Garland Jerrod E. Ragins is a man of God first; then, he is an accountant with Jones Lang Lasalle in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is 30 years old, is married to Jessica, and loves the Lord. Book excerpt: "God Can " by Jay B. Ayers has enough cliff hanging exploits to keep you on the edge. It has been said that faith represents things not seen but miracles can be visible. There is plenty of evidence of both within these pages. The only miracle witnessed by many might be childbirth, but Jay B Ayers cites numerous events that even a skeptical world would describe as beyond the laws of probability. His landscapes are varied--USA, Canada, Africa, Mexico and Belize. But the stories have a consistency similar to the Word of God from which he often quotes. Regular Bible readers will recall the parable of the Pearl of Great Price. A merchant sells all he has to acquire a rare pearl he considers more valuable than everything. We all have such a pearl within us. For some it's becoming President; for others it might be hitting 300 in the major leagues. For Jay B. Ayers it is seeing the lost get saved, the believer encouraged, and the Lord exalted; this is his story.

Book excerpt: A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER *SELECTED AS ONE OF BARACK OBAMA'S FAVOURITE BOOKS OF 2023* Vividly written and exhaustively researched, Jonathan Eig’s King is the first major biography in decades of the civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. – and the first to include recently declassified FBI files. In this revelatory new portrait of the preacher and activist who shook the world, the bestselling biographer gives us an intimate view of the courageous and often emotionally troubled human being who demanded peaceful protest for his movement but was rarely at peace with himself. He casts fresh light on the King family’s origins as well as MLK’s complex relationships with his wife, father, and fellow activists. King reveals a minister wrestling with his own human frailties and dark moods, a citizen hunted by his own government, and a man determined to fight for justice even if it proved to be a fight to the death. As he follows MLK from the classroom to the pulpit to the streets of Birmingham, Selma, and Memphis, Eig dramatically re-creates the journey of a man who recast American race relations and became its only modern-day founding father – as well as the nation’s most mourned martyr. In this landmark biography, Eig gives us an MLK for our times: a deep thinker, a brilliant strategist, and a committed radical who led one of history’s greatest movements, and whose demands for racial and economic justice remain as urgent today as they were in his lifetime.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus commanded all of his disciples to "go and make disciples of all nations." This book dares you to examine how Jesus Himself made disciples. What is discipleship, according to Jesus? Can the church today possess the power of the early church? Does God still use His people to heal the sick? Are miracles and deliverance still part of Jesus' disciple making agenda? Richard Mull's honest account of his personal journey toward biblical discipleship presents a dilemma for twenty-first century believers: Will you adopt a system of belief that explains why we disciple differently than Jesus did, or admit that in spite of our education and experience, we may not be making disciples according to Jesus' teaching? God desires to take you on a journey much like that of Jesus' first disciples, who learned to do what Jesus was doing by observing Him in action and obeying what He taught. Lord, Disciple Me will challenge you to develop a biblical foundation for your journey. Jesus will provide the hand-on experience!

Book excerpt: Lord, Please Don't Let Her See Me Cry is a true story of child abuse so atrocious I have suffered from it for over fifty years, having not only the endure the memory but also being forced to see the scars every time I change my clothes. I only survived because of my faith in God and God's mercy on me. As a child, I promised God that if he would see me through, I would one day pay him back by helping other children in similar situations. I hope this book helps bring the attention of the world to the problem of child abuse so that the abusers may be punished and the abused healed. Please help the children of the world. They are our future. Love in Jesus Christ. It tells of His love, mercy, compassion, and salvation, as well as His chastisements to those that are His very own, and of the penalties and judgment to come. These individuals are husband and wife and went through divorce but a year later, were married again. They put each other through turmoil until they started talking to God. God told them that he wanted them to write a book together titled Deliverance and Forgiveness. God wanted them to tell others about the life they lived and what they've done to people and to each other. It took time for both of them to accept how to forgive and how to get delivered through the power of Christ!

Book excerpt: “Chevonne invites you to walk with her through part of her life-journey, with all its wretchedness and heartaches and all its thrills (the saving power of the Holy Spirit)! Praise the Lord!” ~ Fr Marshall F., former parish priest of Church of the Immaculate Conception ________________________________________________________ The Wise Preacher (King Solomon) says in Ecclesiastes 1: 9 that there is nothing new under the sun. That which has been, is what will be, that which is done is what will be done; yet all of us go through the vagaries of life and it can trouble us, place us in a position of despair and hopelessness, a hell on earth. However, Chevonne McGregor’s life experience in this book can offer us hope as she has finally found her ‘Heaven on Earth’ and it begins with a relationship with this wonderful God who revealed Himself to us through his son Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”[a] 10 But[b] it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. ~Asher Ang – KCC Ministry Acts 20:24 New Living Translation (NLT) 24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The reason why I wrote this book is to assist women of all culture and races with some form of knowledge of how to cope in the valleys of life. I hope women will learn from my mistakes and do it better. I am not a saint or self-righteous. My hope is that they will get to know Christ in an intimate way, because if women have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, their lives will become better. They will have a better survival rate than someone who is on their own and has no one. The bad things that people do to you, God turns it around in your favor. God has a purpose for all our lives. He is always working behind the scenes. When people come against you, God allowed it because it is all in his plan to work the kinks out of you and to take the bad parts of you to make you better. Life sometimes is not fair, but it is serving his plan to create you to be better, stronger, wiser, self-assured, and direct you into his purpose for your life. God intended it for good when he use the Judas of your life. It was hurtful to me when people ostracized me, lied on me, betrayed me, etc. It made me stronger, wiser, nonjudgmental, humbled me and gave me empathy for others. Everything serves a purpose in your life. Stay strong, keep the faith, trust God, stay prayerful, decree and declare great things for your life. Believe and see those great things, for your life is happening even if it is not physically in existence (Hebrews 11:1). Never give up, for if you keep on moving and doing the right things, you will someday succeed and be victorious over your obstacles in your life. God is giving you strength by allowing adversities to come into your life. Your adversities come, not to destroy you, but to push you further into God's great plan for your life. This is my life lesson learned, and Christ was guiding me the whole time. "Yea I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil: For thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4).
