This book attempts to throw light on this subtle reality in carefully chosen words that are easily understood, and perhaps point a way for the serious seeker who is struggling to escape its clutches. What is Maya??? 1. It is neither Truth 2. Nor is it unTruth 3. And it is neither both Ponder...ponder…ponder… Let us read between the lines to arrive at: 1. This book was released on 2021-02-16 with total page 219 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A friend once asked me to say something. I told him that Light and Absence of Light are construed as desirable or undesirable depending on one’s current state. Both are powered by the same Brahman, both are willed by Him alone. Such words are galore in the scriptures and soften the heart. However the scriptures also go on to say that troubled times are the result of one’s own making, faulty living, and being a willing slave to the shad vikaras. This is what I couldn’t tell him. However know that we all have 400 years of life, then we merge into Brahman and become one with the Divine. At the end of 400 years it doesn’t matter how we played our role, if we were good actors or if we were plain dumb. Hope a few can tune the thoughts expounded here and make them theirs, not in thought but in action. These are from a life well-lived, graciously shared, and richly blessed. In fact it is the story of most humans. The story of a sojourn to planet earth. Om Svasti

This book was released on 2018-01-02 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each of the 700 verses of the Gita is capable of delivering, of winning, of giving the direct and full answer. Just as a smartphone has tons of apps, all different, all unique yet wholly complete by themselves. Just as a wardrobe has so many clothes and shoes, all different, yet each befitting. Just as you have facebook friends and contacts, each unique yet capable. Just as Guruji answers someone's query in Satsang. It is a specific question. It is a specific answer. Yet it weaves its magic on all. Satisfies many. Each of Sri Sri’s answers "as if" meant for one enlightens one and all. So it is with the Gita. The verses are weaved together by a magician. They are placed by a divine hand. The verses are interspersed and knitted and dyed and woven. Are made up of cottons and silks, nylons and polyester, wool and acrylic, and every yarn under the sun. The weaving is so deft, smooth, and soft, so cozy, nice and comfortable; that one may miss the hues shades nuances emotions events and truths. But one cannot miss the impact! So one may ask; Who is the Gita for? Who benefits? How benefits? The Bhagavad Gita is spoken by the Lord. Who doth the Lord address? The entire creation of course. He addresses every single man woman and child. He addresses every single plant herb and tree. Every piece of matter animate or inanimate. Every ray of energy, no matter whether it is in the visible spectrum or beyond. The Gita is about Life. It is about Dinacharya. About Ritucharya. About what to do when. How to live, how to LOVE. How to be well. How to plan and how to act. What to think and what to speak. About what qualities to nourish. What goals to achieve. About how to meet deadlines and targets. It applies not only to mankind. It also applies to machines and electronics. It applies also to the Natural Laws and to the life-forms we know and do not know. It is a complete textbook. A finely detailed user manual to strengthen one's MIND. Nourish the SOUL. And of course the Gita doth Flex the BODY. The Bhagavad Gita is a FRIEND. सर्वधर्मान् परित्यज्य , माम् एकं शरणं व्रज । अहं त्वा सर्वपापेभ्यः , मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः ॥ १८.६६ sarvadharmān parityajya , mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja । ahaṁ tvā sarvapāpebhyaḥ , mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ ॥ 18.66 18.66 Do not dither, be not scattered nor fickle; collect your wits and pull yourself together, and come straight and sure to the divine. To the sacred and pure in your vicinity. To the saint in your village. Pour your heart out; surely help is yours, guidance is yours, support is yours and victory is yours. Original Verses in Sanskrit split at each quarter for chanting aloud. With a Latin Transliteration of each verse in English. And the Gist in English using contemporary aims, desires, language and style.

Book Synopsis Nietzsche on Gender by : Frances Nesbitt Oppel
Download or read book Nietzsche on Gender written by Frances Nesbitt Oppel and published by University of Virginia Press. This book was released on 2005 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although Nietzsche has been considered by some critics to be a misogynist for his treatment of woman, women, and the feminine, Frances Nesbitt Oppel offers a radical reinterpretation of the philosopher's ideas on sex, gender, and sexuality. In Nietzsche on Gender: Beyond Man and Woman, she argues that a closer reading of Nietzsche's texts and rhetorical style (especially his use of metaphor and irony), as well as his letters and notes, shows that he was strategically and deliberately dismantling dualistic thinking in general, not only the logical hierarchies of western thought (God/human, heaven/earth, mind/body, reason/emotion, ethos/pathos) but also the assumed gender opposition of man/woman. In the process, she pulls the rug out from under the accusation of his alleged misogyny. Oppel's is the first study to combine recent speculations in gender study and queer theory with an in-depth analysis of Nietzsche's texts. This approach enables her to break through the impasse in feminist studies that has stalled for so long on the question of his misogyny, to redirect attention to the importance he gives to human creativity and self-fashioning rather than convention, and to gesture toward a future human sexuality beyond rivalry and resentment in favor of a sensual materialism in relationship with others and the earth. Oppel concludes that for Nietzsche, breaking the gender barrier liberates human beings as individuals and as a species to love themselves, each other, and their earthly home as they choose. By emphasizing the physical and material stuff of human existence (bodies and the earth), she says, Nietzsche reclaims for all humanity concepts that have been traditionally associated with "woman" and the feminine. No longer seen as a strong masculine hero, Nietzsche's "superman" becomes a supreme human achievement: the complete acceptance of time, change, and mortality in which human beings will possess the best characteristics of each gender in themselves. Nietzsche on Gender should be equally engaging for readers interested in Nietzsche in particular and in sexual politics and in philosophy and literature more generally.
Book Synopsis An Autobiography or The Story of My Experiments with Truth by : M K Gandhi
Download or read book An Autobiography or The Story of My Experiments with Truth written by M K Gandhi and published by Penguin UK. This book was released on 2018-01-15 with total page 872 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is among the most enigmatic, charismatic, deeply revered and equally reviled figures of the twentieth century. His Autobiography, one of the most widely read and translated Indian books of all time, is a classic that allows us to glimpse the transformation of a well-meaning lawyer into a Satyagrahi and an ashramite. In this first-ever critical edition, eminent scholar Tridip Suhrud shines new light on Gandhi's life and thought. The deeply researched notes elucidate the contexts and characters of the Autobiography, while alternative translations capture the flavour, cadence and quirkiness of the Gujarati. In the highly original and insightful introduction, Suhrud traces Gandhi's transformation into a Satyagrahi, a seeker of Truth as God, and explores possible modes of reading the Autobiography. This edition is an absorbing, illuminating text about the life-affirming journey of the most public yet most complex figure of Indian history.

This book was released on 2023-06-21 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Sri Yantra Bhavana Upanishad is attributed to the Atharvaveda. It is a later Upanishad that illuminates the Bhavana or Deeper Emotions connected to the Sri Yantra, the body of the Mother Divine, and also the body of Divine Yogic Union of Purusha and Prakriti. It expounds the innermost intense feelings of the Soul, its basic desire, and ways and means to connect and unite with the ultimate consciousness. What is a Sri Yantra? A healing mandala diagram made by 4 Upward Apex Triangles and 5 Downward Apex Triangles, properly intertwined to represent • the cosmic forces in creation, and • the principles of duality, harmony, and divinity. The 9 Basic Triangles create a total of 43 Triangles due to the overlapping, which are grouped (shaded) as 14 + 10 + 10 + 8 + 1 = 43. Apart from these Triangles, • there is a central Dot (Bindu) • there are three Circles with 8 and 16 petals encircling the Triangles • there are four Gates encircling the entire Mandala, composed of three lines. Sanskrit Seed Sounds (bija mantra) like ॐ Om, are potent healing and nourishing energies. Sound is an energy. Pleasing sounds (meditative music, blessings) have excellent effects on one's behavior, attitude, and long-term all round success in life. An aesthetically made Mandala can become vastly superior when infused with Seed Sounds.
