Book excerpt: Table of Contents 1- Line Tracking Exercises: It contributes to the development of hand muscles and attention skills of the students. 2- Mazes: The target in these activities; it is to reinforce the coding between the object and the word. Mazes are also applications that increase attention and reduce the lack of concentration. 3- Completing Missing Images and Texts: In these activities, it is aimed to associate the words and shapes that are coded and reinforced with visual perceptions. Visual perception coding will ensure that the word-object pair is permanent in the mind. These exercises also have attention-increasing features. 4- Finding Misspelled Words Activities: The aim of these activities is to eliminate the students' attention deficit and increase the visual coding effect by perceiving the words as a shape. 5- Matching Activities: Matching activities are aimed at testing students' coding success. Students are expected to achieve over 80% success in mathcing. Exercises related to mismatched words and pictures must be repeated. 6- Patterns numbers: In these activities, the student will develop logical reasoning skills by identifying logical relationships between shapes. 7- Patterns vocabulary: Patterns allow students to better understand logical loops and understand relationships between objects more easily. 8- Patterns mixed: In these activities, both the attention and the persistence of the English words were targeted through word-object matching by identifying the logical relationships between words and objects.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Eureka Math is a comprehensive, content-rich PreK–12 curriculum that follows the focus and coherence of the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics (CCSSM) and carefully sequences the mathematical progressions into expertly crafted instructional modules. The companion Study Guides to Eureka Math gather the key components of the curriculum for each grade into a single location, unpacking the standards in detail so that both users and non-users of Eureka Math can benefit equally from the content presented. Each of the Eureka Math Curriculum Study Guides includes narratives that provide educators with an overview of what students should be learning throughout the year, information on alignment to the instructional shifts and the standards, design of curricular components, approaches to differentiated instruction, and descriptions of mathematical models. The Study Guides can serve as either a self-study professional development resource or as the basis for a deep group study of the standards for a particular grade. For teachers who are new to the classroom or the standards, the Study Guides introduce them not only to Eureka Math but also to the content of the grade level in a way they will find manageable and useful. Teachers familiar with the Eureka Math curriculum will also find this resource valuable as it allows for a meaningful study of the grade level content in a way that highlights the coherence between modules and topics. The Study Guides allow teachers to obtain a firm grasp on what it is that students should master during the year. The Eureka Math Curriculum Study Guide, Grade PK provides an overview of all of the Pre-Kindergarten modules, including Counting to 5; Shapes; Counting to 10; Comparison of Length, Weight, Capacity, and Numbers to 5; and Addition and Subtraction Stories and Counting to 20.

Designed for use by speech & language therapists, students, volunteers and carers, this is a very user-friendly and practical workbook providing activity ideas to improve skills in specific areas for people who have aphasia. The activities cover a range of difficulties encountered in aphasia including colour recognition, reading and writing, numeracy, memory and vocabulary. The book offers progress from easy to more complex tasks for each topic. It helps you have a clear rationale for inclusion, form part of an overall progression, and have a simple list of materials required. It aims to enhance the client's overall communication skills: this may be by strengthening or teaching skills that have not been so damaged such as gesture, drawing or writing. Resulting from many requests from volunteers, carers and students, this book is ideal for anyone wishing to help people with the frustrating and persisting problem of aphasia. The ideas can also be used as photocopiable homework activities for speech & language therapists to give to clients.

This book was released on 2010 with total page 106 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Increasing complexity combined with decreasing geometrical sizes in electric circuit design lead to high dimensional dynamical models to be considered by EDA tools. Model order reduction (MOR) has become a popular strategy to decrease the problem's size while preserving its crucial properties. MOR shall achieve accurate statements on a circuit's behavior within an affordable amount of computational time. Just recently, MOR techniques are designed to consider the differential algebraic nature of the underlying models. We present an approach based on an e-embedding, i.e., a strategy applied in the construction of numerical integration schemes for differential algebraic equations (DAEs). The system of DAEs is transformed into an artificial system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), since MOR schemes for ODEs can be applied now. We construct, analyze and test different strategies with respect to the usage of the parameter e that transforms the DAEs into ODEs. Moreover, accurate mathematical models for MOS-devices introduce highly nonlinear equations. As the packing density of devices is growing in circuit design, huge nonlinear systems appear in practice. It follows an increasing demand for reduced order modeling of nonlinear problems. In the thesis, we also review the status of existing techniques for nonlinear MOR by investigating the performance of the schemes applied in circuit simulation.
