This book was released on 2017-06-12 with total page 560 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Management Models of Digital Transformation by : Katja Wenzel
Download or read book Management Models of Digital Transformation written by Katja Wenzel and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-12-12 with total page 138 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The success of a digital transformation is not a foregone conclusion. A digital transformation, as a highly complex process impacting major areas of an organization, requires a systematic approach that goes beyond individual transformation initiatives. This work analyses and integrates existing approaches to managing and coordinating a digital transformation in order to identify relevant success factors of a digital transformation, serving as a basis for the development of a systematic framework for a management model of digital transformation. The analysis reveals ten success-critical focus areas of a digital transformation, which comprise numerous success factors: ‘Vision, goals, and strategies’, ‘Leadership’, ‘Communication’, ‘Digital culture and mindset’, ‘Digital platform’, ‘Partnership network’, ‘Capabilities, talents, and skills’, ‘Organization, coordination, and roles’, ‘Management methodologies’, and ‘Governance’. A systematic framework is proposed that serves as a foundation for the future development of a management model, addressed to executives and experts who are tasked with launching, driving, and sustaining a digital transformation.
Book Synopsis Discourses on Nations and Identities by : Daniel Syrovy
Download or read book Discourses on Nations and Identities written by Daniel Syrovy and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2021-01-18 with total page 656 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The third volume of the collected papers of the ICLA congress "The Many Languages of Comparative Literature" includes contributions that focus on the interplay between concepts of nation, national languages, and individual as well as collective identities. Because all literary communication happens within different kinds of power structures - linguistic, economic, political -, it often results in fascinating forms of hybridity. In the first of four thematic chapters, the papers investigate some of the ways in which discourses can establish modes of thinking, or how discourses are in turn controlled by active linguistic interventions, whether in the context of the patriarchy, war, colonialism, or political factions. The second thematic block is predominantly concerned with hybridity as an aspect of modern cultural identity, and the cultural and linguistic dimensions of domestic life and in society at large. Closely related, a third series of papers focuses on writers and texts analysed from the vantage points of exile and exophony, as well as theoretical contributions to issues of terminology and what it means to talk about transcultural phenomena. Finally, a group of papers sheds light on more overtly violent power structures, mechanisms of exclusion, Totalitarianism, torture, and censorship, but also resistance to these forms of oppression. In addition to these chapters, the volume also collects a number of thematically related group sections from the ICLA congress, preserving their original context.

Book Synopsis Digital Leadership by : Tobias Kollmann
Download or read book Digital Leadership written by Tobias Kollmann and published by Springer-Verlag. This book was released on 2020-06-26 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

It now contains suggestions for the areas of corporate management (operational and strategic controlling), sales, production, purchasing and project management. In addition, the latest developments in BI-supported controlling with the support of traditional and explorative BI are highlighted, including data mining, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, RPA, chatbots, data discovery, data visualization, app technology, self-service BI and cloud computing. Further innovations concern the topics of data quality and data modeling. The final chapter is "Mobile BI", which deals with the expansion of powerful mobile analysis and planning solutions with the help of tablets, mobile phones and other mobile devices.

Book Synopsis Digital Business Leadership by : Ralf T. Kreutzer
Download or read book Digital Business Leadership written by Ralf T. Kreutzer and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-04-27 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides specialists and executives with a clear, yet practical set of recommendations to meet the challenges of digital transformation and ensure long-term success as a leader in a primarily digital business world. The authors describe the fundamental principles of digitization and its economic opportunities and risks, integrating them into a framework of classic and new management methods. The book also explores how increasing digitization – not only of communication, but of complete value chains – has led to a need to establish a digital business leadership. Digitization is changing people and markets: it causes the upheaval of entire industries, creates new digital-centric companies, and forces established companies to cope with the transformation activities associated with these digitization processes. New approaches and methods have to be learned, tried and tested patterns of thinking have to be explored, and last but not least, innovation activities have to be understood as continuous necessities. At the same time, digital business offers considerable opportunities for renewing competitive advantages, improving existing process structures and realigning products, services and business models.

Book Synopsis The Art of Structuring by : Katrin Bergener
Download or read book The Art of Structuring written by Katrin Bergener and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-01-25 with total page 535 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Structuring, or, as it is referred to in the title of this book, the art of structuring, is one of the core elements in the discipline of Information Systems. While the world is becoming increasingly complex, and a growing number of disciplines are evolving to help make it a better place, structure is what is needed in order to understand and combine the various perspectives and approaches involved. Structure is the essential component that allows us to bridge the gaps between these different worlds, and offers a medium for communication and exchange. The contributions in this book build these bridges, which are vital in order to communicate between different worlds of thought and methodology – be it between Information Systems (IS) research and practice, or between IS research and other research disciplines. They describe how structuring can be and should be done so as to foster communication and collaboration. The topics covered reflect various layers of structure that can serve as bridges: models, processes, data, organizations, and technologies. In turn, these aspects are complemented by visionary outlooks on how structure influences the field.
