Lo anterior, atañe directamente en los procesos comunicacionales con respecto a los diversos públicos con que se tienen interacción, tanto al interior como al exterior de la cualquier organización. Un Manual de Manejo de Crisis, es un compilado de estrategias, procedimientos y líneas de acción para el mejor manejo comunicacional de escenarios de crisis; en el cual se ponen de manifiesto y se entrega, además, orientaciones para la consolidación de una vocería definida para la entidad, alineada de forma adecuada con los mensajes institucionales. Por tal razón se debe desarrollar un programa de Manejo de Crisis de la manera óptima, acorde a las situaciones de crisis que se desarrollen al interior y que puedan afectar las relaciones la seguridad, en procura de mencionar los agentes internos y externos y demás instituciones públicas y privadas del orden local, regional o nacional. Por tanto, se hace conducente poder contar con un manual de manejo de crisis desde la comunicación, para facilitar así una respuesta rápida, efectiva, responsable, organizada, clara, contundente y estratégica que permita minimizar los efectos negativos que puedan recaer sobre la imagen y la reputación de la cualquier empresa. En él se deben definir inicialmente como proteger las vida, bienes y honra; sin embargo, incluso algunas de las crisis se pueden convertir en un factor que puedan fortalecer el accionar de la institución, claro está, de acuerdo al manejo que se le dé a las mismas. Así, mismo el nivel de respuesta ante situaciones de crisis, debe ser cuidadosamente planeado con investigación, planificación, claridad en el objetivo y definición de protocolos. Resaltando además que dentro de la identificación de estas situaciones que pueden generar crisis, se vuelve necesario comprender que una de las primeras consecuencias de una crisis es la parálisis que sobreviene a cualquier cambio en la estructura normal de la organización. A medida que avanza el conflicto, tanto los funcionarios como los empleados pierden la capacidad de dilucidar si los resultados serán funestos o si, por el contrario, se pueden controlar. En dicho manual, se describe el planteamiento general para el abordaje de una crisis, así mismo se detallan el diseño y las acciones específicas, según los factores de riesgo identificados en un previo análisis de riesgos; por lo que, teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, buscando ofrecer una guía para actuar de forma eficaz y eficiente ante una crisis.

Phillip Allen Sharp is an American geneticist and molecular biologist who co-discovered RNA splicing. He shared the 1993 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Richard J. Roberts for “the discovery that genes in eukaryotes are not contiguous strings but contain introns, and that the splicing of messenger RNA to delete those introns can occur in different ways, yielding different proteins from the same DNA sequence. He works in Institute Professor Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, US.
