Book Synopsis Our Long Hairitage by : Roger Sigler
Download or read book Our Long Hairitage written by Roger Sigler and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2011-06-07 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most causes of hair loss are manmade. Proper nutrition is one thing. But a lush rain forest is ruined by clear-cutting just as close-cropping the head invites a desert. To add insult to injury biocides (which include many hair products and chlorine) aggravate the environment further by destroying the vital inhabitants thereof. These things cause the scalp to become deserted. In contrast our long haired ancestors had healthy heads of hair because they manipulated nature little. This unique book traces the history of this fact as well as the origins of excessive hair removal during times of religious idolatry. Learn the benefits of longer hair from science, health, Scripture, and history to prevent hair loss and skin cancer; for healthy hair and scalp; to protect your head; and to promote your unique identity. This easy-to-understand book abounds with 100 pictures and other illustrations, handy tables, and is completely referenced. The fight against hair loss will never be won until you understand that the real root causes are self-inflicted or enforced against you by others. Read this book first and get the facts before wasting money on products.
Download or read book Trump's Stars written by Holly Stockus and published by Page Publishing, Inc. This book was released on 2022-05-04 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our elected President, Donald J. Trump, has become one of the most polarized human beings in our lifetime. We watch as the media browbeats this man, while simultaneously urging the people of this great nation to rise up, and pull the rug out from under him. Many do not understand how he continues to plow through the media unscathed and intact. His larger than life personality, and blunt tongue will not attract everyone, however he is who he is by design. Would it not be in our best interest to get to know our president before swallowing the dictations of the press, and late-night jesters? We can make some sense of it all by releasing wisdom from our ancient ancestors. When we study the movements of the celestial beings a narrative can be told. The human psyche is an inner zodiac expressing its identity. As a holistic astrologer, I felt the urge to divulge some insight on our president and our current times. We're finding ourselves in the midst of a showdown between two energetic forces. Our country has become totally divided partly because of the relentless media. Politicians will be politicians, but the outlandish attempts to discredit this administration is diabolical. Power and control is the new norm by manipulation, while our freedom is slowly being taken away. We are at a pivotal time in our country's history. How can we rise above the noise and become aware of what's right in front of us? Journey with me for insights to a man that has captured us all--whether by embracement or revolt, but either way intrigued.

In its attempt to rectify the male-biased view of hamadryas baboon behavior that has persisted over the decades, this book suggests that female behavior contributes more to hamadryas social organization than has previously been assumed and that females may, in fact, be acting in their own best interests after all. A place, Argentina, and a time, that of the great changes from the '60s to the '90s. Those alone are worth the journey. Raquel's present is divided between her passions: the horses she adores and breeds on her ranch; and her husband, a businessman who often travels for work. Until one day the Past, in the guise of a stranger, comes knocking on her door, forcing her to a shocking journey through time and boundless spaces, at the end of which no truth will be the same as before. Because sometimes the wheel of History turns backwards.

Book Synopsis The Emperor is Naked by : Hamid Dabashi
Download or read book The Emperor is Naked written by Hamid Dabashi and published by Zed Books Ltd.. This book was released on 2020-04-15 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The invention of the nation-state was the crowning achievement of the Sykes–Picot Agreement between the United Kingdom and France in 1916. As a geostrategic move to divide, defeat, and dismantle the Ottoman Empire during World War I, it was a great success and the modern colonial borders of the Arab nation-states eventually emerged in the course of World War II. Today, as nations are reconceiving their own postcolonial interpolated histories, Arab and Muslim states are becoming total states on the model of ISIS with Iran, Syria, Turkey and Egypt, among others, violently manufacturing their legitimacy. And yet simultaneously, examples such as the Nobel Peace Prize winning formation of a civil society 'Quartet' in Tunisia allude to a growing transnational public sphere across the Arab and Muslim world. In The Emperor is Naked, Hamid Dabashi boldly argues that the category of nation-state has failed to produce a legitimate and enduring unit of post-colonial polity. Considering what this liberation of nations and denial of legitimacy to ruling states will actually unfurl, Dabashi asks: What will replace the nation-state, what are the implications of this deconstruction on global politics and, crucially, what is the meaning of the post-colonial subject within this moment?
