Download or read book Quel est le sens de ma vie ? written by Mayli and published by Les Éditions du Net. This book was released on 2014-08-28 with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. A quoi sert notre cerveau ?

Book Synopsis Le processus psychosomatique by : Pascal BECU
Download or read book Le processus psychosomatique written by Pascal BECU and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2011-12 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Karl Barth’s Epistle to the Romans by : Christophe Chalamet
Download or read book Karl Barth’s Epistle to the Romans written by Christophe Chalamet and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2022-05-09 with total page 550 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Karl Barth’s commentary on Paul’s epistle to the Romans, in its two editions (1919 and 1922), is one of the most significant works published in Christian theology in the 20th century. This book, which landed “like a bombshell on the theologians’ playground,” still deserves close scrutiny one hundred years after its publication. In this volume, New Testament scholars, philosophers of religion and systematic theologians ponder the intricacies of Barth’s “expressionistic” commentary, pointing out the ways in which Barth interprets Paul’s epistle for his own day, how this actualized interpretation of the apostle’s message challenged the theology of Barth’s time, and how some of the insights he articulated in 1919 and in 1922 have shaped Christian theology up to our day. With his commentary, the young Swiss pastor paved the way for a renewed, intensely theological interpretation of the Scriptures. The volume thus centers of some of the key themes which run through Barth’s commentary: faith as divine gift beyond any human experience or psychological data, the Easter event as the turning point of the world’s history, God’s judgment and mercy and God’s one Word in Jesus Christ. This volume represents a major contribution to the interpretation of Karl Barth’s early thought.
Book Synopsis Frankfurt School by : J. M. Bernstein
Download or read book Frankfurt School written by J. M. Bernstein and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 1994 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Frankfurt School' refers to the members associated with the "Institut fur Sozialforschung (Institute for Social Research) " which was founded in Frankfurt in 1923. The work of this group is generally agreed to have been a landmark in twentieth century social science. It is of seminal importance in our understanding of culture, progress, politics, production, consumption and method. This set of six volumes provides a full picture of the School by examining the important developments that have occured since the deaths of the original core of Frankfurt scholars. All the major figures--Adorno, Horkheimer, Marcuse, Benjamin--are represented. In particular, the important post-war work of Jurgen Habermas is fully assessed. The collection also covers the work of many of the minor figures associated with the School who have been unfairly neglected in the past, resulting in the most complete survey and guide to the "oeuvre" of the Frankfurt School.

Book Synopsis Transcendentalism Overturned by : Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka
Download or read book Transcendentalism Overturned written by Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-04-02 with total page 698 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection offers a critical assessment of transcendentalism, the understanding of consciousness, absolutized as a system of a priori laws of the mind, that was advanced by Kant and Husserl. As these studies show, transcendentalism critically informed 20th Century phenomenological investigation into such issues as temporality, historicity, imagination, objectivity and subjectivity, freedom, ethical judgment, work, praxis. Advances in science have now provoked a questioning of the absolute prerogatives of consciousness. Transcendentalism is challenged by empirical reductionism. And recognition of the role the celestial sphere plays in life on planet earth suggests that a radical shift of philosophy's center of gravity be made away from absolute consciousness and toward the transcendental forces at play in the architectonics of the cosmos.
