Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dear Reader It has been my aspiration to work with an organization that promotes the ideals of literacy projects. My goal is to primarily work with all young students and on top of that with parents and teachers respectively. I created a comprehensive organization that has alternative programs under the umbrella called Senzeni Literacy Club it is a non for profit organization. Its primary focus is to help promote competency and to offer aid to students by preparing them for higher education and help them pay for it. I may not satisfy all the expectations. But by selecting education as a standard, I firmly believe, I trounce all the odds. I believe the job I have undertaken it’s a difficult one, that has lot of challenges and disappointments ahead, but none the less, it is a job I would like to shape with my personal strength, character and my true life story, and moreover I chose to make this effort part of my philanthropic work to donate my love, myself, and my personal resources to education episode. I decided to put my poetry work together, at the same time while I’m putting my life together. In the hope that, courage will restore my harmonious legacy, may I simply be remembered as an activist and a contributor in the continuous struggle to encourage every child to have an opportunity to go to college and university and serve his or her country in return? Despite my shortcomings, my goal is not to be popular, instead I have made a solemn decision that my life matters in the same manner the lives of others matters, especially living by example to my kid’s and others. Unfortunately, I felt I have lost some pretty good time which I could have made use of it productively, and the same time I refuse to allow my failures to impede me and stand in front of my big dreams. Senzeni Literacy Club will define my leadership in every corner and hall of our society particularly, South Africa. My life and my personality speaks for itself, I’m just an ordinary human being, at the same time I’m also warning everyone to remember, a Mantle of Leadership is only for those who care to listen and those who care to take actions and change the challenged lives that desperately don’t know where to turn to... Proceeds of this material will be viewed as a charitable contribution to help bring courage, and will be directed in the construction project fund that will unveil the model of Senzeni Literacy Center to be built in Washington District of Columbia Metropolitan area in the United States of America. Senzeni Literacy Club is grateful for your support.

How do we overcome the real obstacles that obstruct this essential part of being the church?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We all feel the pull, that innate knowing that we were put here on this earth for some important purpose greater than ourselves. But how can we realize that calling in a world that seems so utterly broken and in perpetual turmoil? How can one person make a difference? How do we help others, when overcoming our own personal problems seems so overwhelming? It is simply by rediscovering our connectedness through community participation that both our inner and outer worlds begin to transform. The Gifts of Community reveals the mutual path to personal and community development, a path that has been well hidden behind cultural messages of competition and self-preservation. By sharing your gifts with others, you are gifted with all that you have felt has been missing in your life. You grow as a person, realize your dreams, develop your talents, and meet your soul partners. And as you realize this potential and begin to think in the mindset of community, the world around you will change for the better as well. Community is a grand-scale gift exchange. As you give good to others, good comes back to you.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides an in-depth analysis of different dimensions of contemporary food charity. It does so against the background of an increasing number of food banks and other forms of food philanthropy. The book examines the incongruity of considering food donation as an expression of 'pure altruism'. Taking into account the dignity and rights of people, it addresses how hunger is seen and explained in rich countries and how philanthropy and democracy coexist. It looks at the relationship that exists between religious traditions and the current food donation narrative. It discusses the risks of stigmatizing food recipients, and clarifies ways to better deal with food poverty and food waste. Paradoxically, food insecurity and food waste have grown exponentially in the last decade. More and more people are not able to access food properly. The amount of perfectly edible food that is discarded also grows. The consolidation of democracies, welfare policies, and economic growth do not guarantee that all citizens can meet their basic needs in the so-called rich countries. This book analyses the current state of affairs and presents facts and reflections from diverse sources and from a cross-disciplinary perspective.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the pages of this book, the challenge of nonbelievers is boldly met with surprising answers which ultimately upend the modern debate between faith and science in the public square. Primarily utilizing the truths of nature known to all humans through science, math, and logic, an analysis of nature clearly and convincingly demonstrates that all the evidence and widely accepted theories of science can only be truly understood through faith in God. It turns out that the nonbelievers, not people of faith, are the ones actually practicing a mythological fantasy misrepresenting the truth of science. Chief among all their delusional dogmas is a theory of evolution governed by the principle of survival of the fittest. This principle is far from good science when even a grade school child knows that no matter how fit one may be, nothing will survive. Death, like taxes, is inevitable. All the efforts to regulate faith in the courts, to secularize human sexuality, or promote the separation of God and state are little more than a modern version of the Tower of Babel, a fantasy about humans storming the heavens. For all disciplines of science are predicated upon a priority in nature for human survival which can only be justified by faith in God. That, if there is no God, both science and human life have no real meaning or true purpose; and yet none of us lives that way. Which truly means everyone, even those with the hardest heart, are called by God through nature to an abiding faith.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Fundraising Reader draws together essential literature establishing a one-stop body of knowledge that explains what fundraising is, and covers key concepts, principles and debates. The book shines a light on the experience of being a fundraiser and answers an urgent need to engage with the complexities of a facet of the non-profit sector that is often neglected or not properly understood. This international compilation features extracts from key writing on fundraising, with a comprehensive contextualising introduction by the editors. Uniquely, this Reader shares conflicting positions relating to age-old and current debates on fundraising: Is fundraising marketing? Should donors or the community be front and centre in fundraising? How can fundraisers deal with ethical dilemmas such as ‘tainted’ donors and money? Best practice and future trends are also covered, including the impact of new technologies and responding to demands for greater diversity, inclusion, and equity in fundraising teams. This Reader is for those who seek to further develop their own understanding of fundraising, and it provides an invaluable resource for academic courses and professional training.
