Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The world is on the brink of major changes. The vibrations are increasing on the planet and act as a catalyst that is empowering the light and suppressing the dark energies. During this process, great opportunities to be a part of a magnificent spiritual evolution are opening for those who choose the way of the loving light of God. There is enormous confusion for many who have been subjected to false perceptions and are controlled through fear, the great tool of the dark side of governments and yes, even some religions. This book is a result of the authors 33 year search for greater truths, enhanced by communications from several spirit sources of the Deity, plus answers about other life in the Cosmos including mind expanding descriptions from highly evolved beings about life on other planetary systems. The author included several communications from friends and family when they described their transition experiences after crossing over to the World Beyond. These messages go beyond fundamental religious myths and describe various dimensions in the spiritual realm. This book is for you: if youve ever wondered what your purpose in life is. if you want to unleash greater powers of your mind. if youve wondered whether there is intelligent life out there. if youve wondered what the Afterlife is really like. if you have any fear of dying, death or crossing over. if you really want to evolve spiritually. Ron has given many lectures and presentations over several years to a variety of organizations. Expressing his creativity, Ron also paints in oil and is the cover artist. From a reader: Once I started reading your book, it was so interesting I couldnt put it down and read it straight through. I need eight more copies for family and friends. Beverly R, Novi, Michigan

Book Synopsis Reasoning beyond Reason by : Jeff Sellars
Download or read book Reasoning beyond Reason written by Jeff Sellars and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2011-01-01 with total page 267 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a seeming dichotomy in C. S. Lewis's writing. On the one hand we see the writer of argumentative works, and on the other hand we have the imaginative poet. Lewis also found this dichotomy within himself. When he was a rationalist and atheist he found that these two sides of him were pulling in different directions: he believed that his rationalist side could not be reconciled with his imaginative side. Once he became a Christian, he eventually found a means of marrying the two--principally, through story and myth.Within C. S. Lewis studies, there is also a common conception of Lewis as a modern rationalist philosopher, i.e., a rationalist who thinks arguments (and his arguments in particular) are the last answer on the questions he undertakes. Reasoning beyond Reason attempts to take this view to task by placing Lewis back into his pre-modern context and showing that his sources and influences are classical ones. In this process Lewis is viewed through the idea that imagination and reason are connected in an intimate way: they are different expressions of a single divine source of truth, and there is an imagination already present upon which reason works. Lewis's "transpositional" view of imagination implicitly pushes towards a somewhat radical position: the imagination is to be seen as theological in its reliance upon something more than the merely material; it necessarily relies on a transcendent funding for its use and meaning. In other words, the imagination is a well-source for what we might normally label "rational."

Download or read book Living Beyond "What If?" written by Shirley Davis and published by Berrett-Koehler Publishers. This book was released on 2021-08-10 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Free yourself from self-limiting beliefs and fears that keep you stuck. This book lays out a blueprint for how to take control of your life and begin living your dreams. We all dream. We all imagine. And we all want to live our best life. But why is it that 90 percent of people admit that if they got to live their life over, they would live it differently? What keeps us comfortable with the status quo and unable to get beyond “What if”? In part 1 of this book, Dr. Shirley Davis addresses these and other questions by guiding the reader through a personal journey of self-discovery, a search for significance, and an examination of the self-imposed limitations that can hijack our purpose, power, and possibilities. In part 2, she details the readers' journies toward realizing their dreams by reimagining their lives, identifying their “why,” and developing a life plan to stay focused and accountable. She describes the right questions to ask, the right mindset to adopt, and the right relationships to build that will enable everyone to live the life he or she has always imagined. Dr. Davis reveals the necessary steps for releasing the limits we place on ourselves as a result of life's tests, wrong thinking, and bad decisions. She helps readers overcome paralyzing fears that keep dreams on pause and inspires the confidence to jump first and grow wings on the way down.

Book Synopsis Do What You Love by : Miya Tokumitsu
Download or read book Do What You Love written by Miya Tokumitsu and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2015-08-11 with total page 149 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The American claim that we should love and be passionate about our job may sound uplifting, or at least, harmless, but Do What You Love exposes the tangible damages such rhetoric has leveled upon contemporary society. Virtue and capital have always been twins in the capitalist, industrialized West. Our ideas of what the “virtues” of pursuing success in capitalism have changed dramatically over time. In the past, we believed that work undertaken with an ethos of industriousness promised financial stability and basic comfort and security for our families. Now, our working life is conflated with the pursuit of pleasure. Fantastically successful—and popular—entrepreneurs such as Steve Jobs and Oprah Winfrey command us. “You’ve got to love what you do,” Jobs tells an audience of college grads about to enter the workforce, while Winfrey exhorts her audience to “live your best life.” The promises made to today’s workers seem so much larger and nobler than those of previous generations. Why settle for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage and a perfectly functional eight-year-old car when you can get rich becoming your “best” self and have a blast along the way? But workers today are doing more and more for less and less. This reality is frighteningly palpable in eroding paychecks and benefits, the rapid concentration of wealth in the hands of a tiny few, and workers’ loss of control over their labor conditions. But where is the protest and anger from workers against a system that tells them to love their work and asks them to do it for less? While winner-take-all capitalism grows ever more ruthless, the rhetoric of passion for labor proliferates. In Do What You Love, Tokumitsu articulates and examines the sacrifices people make for a chance at loveable, self-actualizing, and, of course, wealth-generating work and the conditions facilitated by this pursuit. This book continues the conversation sparked by the author’s earlier Slate article and provides a devastating look at the state of modern America’s labor and workforce.
