Les partenaires sociaux sont intéressés par son développement et cela peut être expliqué, en grande partie, par les bons résultats des expériences menées actuellement. La participation apparait comme une solution valable pour l'un de plus graves problèmes de l'entreprise de nos jours : la motivation des salaries. La participation peut influencer aussi les conditions de travail. La perception de la participation peut varier beaucoup d'un pays à l'autre, ainsi que d'une entreprise à l'autre. Les modèles de participation sont liées à des facteurs historiques et culturels. Les formules participatives adoptées sont modulées par l'expérience de chaque entreprise. Le chemin suivi par les organisations est déterminé en fonction des forces politiques, économiques, sociales et historiques présentes. Les études de cas ont permis d'examiner les différentes solutions trouvées par chaque organisation. En effet, avant de pouvoir établir des solutions, il faut d'abord connaitre les problèmes. La grille O.I.R. permet d'aborder les thèmes principaux, qui peuvent influencer le développement de la participation. L'analyse des informations recueillies à partir de cette grille permet de dégager les problèmes à solutionner et les points forts à maintenir ou renforcer. Ainsi, ce travail constitue notre collaboration au développement du management participatif.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This paper describes the outcome of the implementation of a Total Quality Control (TQC) program in a large manufacturing enterprise in Australia. Emphasis is given to the effects of TQC on employees' perceived participation in the program and concomitant employee job satisfactioon. An extensive discussionof the relationships between these variables and TQC is contained in an earlier paper. The results obtained, from this study, show that job satisfaction is related to employee participation, but to varying degrees at different job levles. Surprisingly, it was also found that there was a low increase in perceived employee participation following the implementation of TQC. The need for further research in this area is clearly shown. Future research should be based on more comprehensive research designs that incorporate longitudinal studies and investigate the differential effects of TQC at various job levels within an organisation. This approach will facilitate a better understanding of the complex dynamics within organisations when such programs are implemented."--p. i.
