Los principales objetivos son enunciar el grado de escolaridad alcanzado por el personal de aseo, nombrar el tiempo de adiestramiento que ese personal recibe de la institucion, enunciar el equipo de bioseguridad que la institucion proporciona al personal de aseo, determinar los desechos hospitalarios que el personal de aseo considera de riesgo; describir el manejo que el personal de aseo realiza a los desechos hospitalarios; listar las practicas higienicas que el personal de aseo adopta al terminar su labor diaria. Se [estudiaron] 19 trabajadores de aseo, la recoleccion de datos se [realizo observando] las practicas realizadas y entrevistas directas de los encuestados por la investigadora. Las variables estudiadas fueron: trabajador manual, conocimientos basicos, practicas de aseo y desechos solidos hospitalarios peligrosos. La mayoria pertenece al sexo femenino y en edades por encima de los 48 anos. Predomina la educacion primaria completa, mas de la mitad no ha recibido capacitacion para realizar [las] labores asignadas, por lo que no practican las medidas de proteccion; ni exigen el equipo de bioseguridad. No cuentan con espacio fisico para las practicas de medidas higienicas al terminar sus labores (AU).
