Par ce texte, voté à l'unanimité le 18 juin 2013, le Conseil : Considère que l'informatique est la science – et une technique - au coeur du monde numérique dans lequel nous vivons, et son impact est considérable dans de nombreux secteurs économiques comme dans nos vies quotidiennes. La compréhension que peuvent en avoir non seulement les ingénieurs, les scientifiques mais aussi les citoyens en général est donc fondamentale. L'Académie des sciences vient de publier un rapport important et ambitieux sur l'enseignement de l'informatique en France, depuis l’école maternelle jusqu’à l’enseignement supérieur et au monde professionnel. C’est un enjeu essentiel pour notre société. L'enseignement de l'informatique dans notre système éducatif permet non seulement de prévenir une exclusion numérique massive en France, mais il est aussi indispensable pour la compétitivité de nos entreprises, pour le développement de l’emploi, pour former des compétences indispensables sur les nouveaux marchés futurs. Considère que la mise en oeuvre urgente des actions préconisées par l'Académie des sciences exigera à la fois beaucoup de volonté et beaucoup de créativité. Il faudra simultanément : • concevoir les contenus, les méthodes et les outils de cet enseignement • former et recruter des enseignants d’informatique • s'appuyer sur et accompagner ceux qui s'impliquent depuis des années dans l'enseignement de l'informatique à l’école, au collège et au lycée • faire appel aux énergies disponibles dans les entreprises ou dans l'éducation populaire • compléter l'équipement des établissements et/ou des individus... La liste n'est pas limitative. Le Conseil National du Numérique s'associe donc à cette initiative de l'Académie des sciences et compte s'appuyer sur les analyses et les conclusions de ce rapport dans des travaux futurs. Le Conseil National du Numérique propose de contribuer à une réflexion focalisée sur la méthode qui permettra d'atteindre un objectif simple : généraliser d'ici trois ans l'enseignement de l'informatique depuis l'Ecole jusqu’au lycée.
